Don’t box yourself in. There are many companies that offer quartz and I think you can do better.

That said, many here will say gray is going out, but they probably haven’t been shopping lately. Yes, people are still doing it. But it wouldn’t be right in your case,

Your cabinets are beautiful. And I kind of like the green! But clearly you don't.....if you're going quartz i would go with white or off-white, that's nearly solid color in appearance. None of the fake marble veining. If you were going to choose one of what you have now, I'd do the one in the left side of your third picture that is the most uniform in appearance.

I like the green, too, but I'm a sucker for solid surface. Are you leaving the cooktop in the island?

The green has definitely grown on us! It’s just getting scratched and cracked over time, and I am too nervous to pay for anything that bold in a quartz!

Then stick with a solid surface! So many more options, and most of them aren't trying to be stone when they are not.

I just went to the Pental Quartz site to have a look at your options and choices. Have you tried the room visualizer. They have a light wood kitchen in the tool and honestly, I think black or very close to black might be really gorgeous with your cabinets.

I tried Amadeus polished and I like the look of it. Play with it until you find something that feels right. You're clearly not afraid of colour. With your light floors and light cupboards I think a dark colour will be really striking and lovely.

I assume your cabinets are in great shape and the base cabinets at least have roll out tray shelves...is that a correct assumption?

If not, I'm not sure I would spend much money on counters since it's very doubtful the counters can be reused if you have to replace the cabinets.

Cabinets are in great shape. I think they're pretty high quality so we're definitely keeping them

Have you looked at soapstone? It comes in several colors (i.e., more than just black).

Another vote for a black counter. Your light counters and floors can handle it. I'd get soapstone or absolute black granite. So much better than quartz. Pretty much bullet proof and you can put hot pots down on both.

I wouldn't go with faux marble counters on natural maple cabinets. I'd go with a honed black or charcoal gray. But here are a few inspo photos for you:

I was hesitant to suggest a green but since you said you grew to like the green, my favorite green ida granite, Costa Esmeralda. It’s a gray green.

It looks great with light cabinetry.

Sammy suggested soap stone. Maybe a green one?

I think you can go light, for sure, but you might want something with at least a few warmer undertones to tie in with your cabinets.

I don't think it will feel washed out, but much lighter and airier! Add in some new cabinet hardware, and it's going to feel like a fancy new room!
