hey lauribet - thank you! Yes, I think they go equally well with warm and cool tones. I'd describe Semonia as a a warmer grey. We have a lot of wood trim throughout our house (woohoo 70s decor haha). I wanted something modern but wouldn't look weird with all the wood, and think Semonia works really well. We love these floors -- have had them for 1.5 years now and they look good as new, even with our toddler smashing pots and pans on them. Good luck with your remodel! how fun!

The white base looks fantastic!! Must admit I prefer the shape of the initial shade with this base. (Can shades be painted...? ;-)) Love seeing such projects! Why buy new when you can transform what you already have?! Especially lamps. The good-looking ones are so pricey. Unless you get lucky and find just the right one at HomeSense or the like. Can also attest to the ease of working with Fusion mineral paint. I used it for an Ikea Tarva chest a couple of years ago. Love the stuff! I'd paint my walls with it if I could. At the risk of sounding like a shill, they've just come out with 10 new muted colours (wish they didn't retire any...I missed a really cool pink a while back) and I'm itching for a project with a couple of them. This post is making me even more impatient to find a suitable piece. Thanks for the inspiration, @Rory (Zone 6b)!

Glad you took advantage of the time to focus on yourself. Sounds like the divorce and dropping of toxic people freed up a lot of energy in your life for some exciting pursuits!! I have been there with the job stress. When a toxic person leaves the workplace or your life, or when you get a less toxic job, it can seem like you have dropped 100 lbs. without even dieting!! An organized kitchen is an easy to clean kitchen love it, i have the same type of pullout for my cutting boards and my workstation sink accessories. Pretty much everything in my kitchen has a logical spot. makes life so much easier.
