Firefox won't display web graphics (just text) - then BSOD
Comments (11)Hi Zep, Here's the information from the Whocrashed report. System Information (local) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- computer name: LYNNDELL windows version: Windows XP Service Pack 3, 5.1, build: 2600 windows dir: C:\WINDOWS Hardware: Inspiron 530, Dell Inc., 0FM586 CPU: GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz Intel586, level: 6 4 logical processors, active mask: 15 RAM: 2950799360 total VM: 2147352576, free: 2022486016 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crash Dump Analysis -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crash dump directory: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump Crash dumps are enabled on your computer. On Tue 6/10/2014 9:46:41 PM GMT your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini061014-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: win32k.sys (win32k+0x5FC9E) Bugcheck code: 0x1000008E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFFFFFBF85FC9E, 0xFFFFFFFFADB9BAE4, 0x0) Error: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\win32k.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: Multi-User Win32 Driver Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system that cannot be identified at this time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One crash dump has been found and analyzed. No offending third party drivers have been found. Connsider using WhoCrashed Professional which offers more detailed analysis using symbol resolution. Also configuring your system to produce a full memory dump may help you. Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information. Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is actually responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further. ------------------------------------------------------------ I'll try reinstalling Firefox, but I'm doubtful because during the course of today - after my initial Firefox difficulties, I did update from Firefox 29 to Firefox 29.0.1. So I can re-install 29.0.1, but installing it this afternoon did not fix the problem. I'll check back later. And now I'll reinstall. Thank you. Comments (15)yes you sure can sync all three as long as they all are on the same kindle store account name. Have you tried going to your iphone kindle app and clicking on the sync function there on it and seeing if you can get it to sync and add the new books? I do not have the iphone but that is how it worked for my laptop, I had to go to the kindle app on it and click there to sync and find new items, then go to the archive area on that kindle app and double click on each to get it downloaded to there. I know it says it can be synced with the iphone and my nephew has both and did it so if you play around with it you should be able to do it. Try going to the Menu on your kindle pc, then the manage my account to see if you can click from there on each individual listed book in the drop down beside them and select your iphone app there. I am able to do my sync that way also. "For Whispernet synchronization to work, however, you must keep it turned on in your account settings on the Amazon site (it's on by default)--and, of course, you must turn on the wireless support on your Kindle devices. The option of turning sync on or off is useful, because if more than one person is reading a book registered to a single account at the same time, they probably don't want to use one another's bookmarks. But if you're the only account user, turning sync on lets you pick up reading on any Kindle device or application. "...See MoreFREE Smart phone calling and texting, photo and video.
Comments (4)Yes, so do I.....but you are giving this app permission to use the camera that came with your phone to take pictures & videos......it can do this any time it wants & it does not have to let you know..... I was pointing out the permissions as just something to be aware of.....all apps have different levels of permissions & its always a good idea to read through them..... Glad to hear that you are enjoying the free calling..... It sure beats a long distance bill.... ; )) Kanooka...See MoreSynchronize Text Messages among MAC, iPad and iPhone
Comments (5)Hello Snidely, Thank you for the reply. Having text msgs on MAC is easier if I need to cut/paste website links or edit msgs before sending/replying them. Yet you do bring up a valid point that keeping msgs on three devices wastes storage space on each of them. It may not be a best practice. Things are getting more strange. I noticed now text msgs synchronize between MAC and iPhone, but iPad is left out. I wonder if iCloud set up is messed up.... It seems I have to pay a visit to an Apple store....See More- 6 years agolast modified: 6 years ago
