Have you unwrapped your bananas yet? (post pics please)
Comments (1)Yes, we have no bananas. I may pull off another layer of mulch early next week and get the opportunity to see any signs of life....See MoreYet another ugly '70s house post. I'm in dire need of advice.
Comments (8)It is fantastic! I can see why you love the lot. I don't have photoshop but I'm sure you can find someone to take a photo of the house and play around with color & adding texture. I wouldn't try too hard to mask the 70s style -- just update it with more modern colors and textures. I find the lines make the house!!...See MoreSTILL BLOOMING IN UPSTATE NY
Comments (5)It's a shame about All Things To All Men being splotchy and finicky about blooming. I really like the color. In my experience Splotchiness usually stays with the plant year after year. I'm thinking on a susceptible daylily it's the time of year it blooms that might account for some of it.. If Thrips are the culprit, then they come out in waves at different times during the year, and if yours consistently blooms during that same time you may have a problem every year. Of course Thrips don't read the train schedule so to speak, so some years you might just get lucky.......... I was glad to see Yada Yada Yellow. I've been tempted by it because it's such a late yellow. Davisson says it's her latest in her garden. If it was the rounded form I'd probably have gotten it by now, as it is I'll keep it on my list and see what others think about it ............Maryl...See MoreUgh !! I have tried to post some photos 3 times today.
Comments (17)Suebelle, The file suggestion is good. I noticed when starting a post if I include the pics in the first post, it isn't always going smoothly so I normally start the post with text then post the pics in the next posts. I used Chrome browser on a computer, and they have a max limit of posting 10 pics per post. Here are my tests (11/5/2019 @ 9:35 PDT): Each pic is < 1 MB - Posted 5 pics with total size: 4.1 MB: no problem. - Posted 10 pics with total size: 10.4 MB: no problem. MB: megabyte Some other websites or apps use some types of image compression programs, and that is why when you upload your images you don't need to resize them. I'm not sure if Houzz uses this type of compression program or not. If they do, it hasn't been working correctly for users. Until they figure it out, just resize your images to less than 1 MB/each. Sometimes, even with small file sizes, Houzz has some problems with their servers, so just wait and try it later. Good luck. Helen...See MoreNancy 6b
