I got into design via Landscape Architecture, which I studied at the University of Virginia.

Happy New Year, everyone! As we welcome 2018, here are a few of our favorite things about New Year’s Eve. And, just for laughs, our not-so-favorite things. What are some of your favorite and least favorite things about ringing in the new year? Let’s celebrate and commiserate in the Comments.
Fun: Dressing up for a festive occasion.
Not so fun: Next-day blisters from those once-a-year schmancy, too-tight shoes you wore while dancing the night away.

Fun: Having a great excuse for a big date night.
Not so fun: Finding a baby sitter on the biggest date night of the year.

Fun: Enjoying cocktails and toasting with friends and loved ones into the wee hours.
Not so fun: Starting off the new year with a headache, a mouth full of cotton and a flashback of yourself karaoke-ing Blame It on the Rain by Milli Vanilli.

Fun: Having your friends over for a party.
Not so fun: Cleaning up glitter and hand-washing delicate Champagne flutes.

Fun: Watching the ball drop with thousands of other revelers in Times Square.
Not so fun: Freezing your buns off and trying to find a clean restroom.

Fun: Getting out on the town.
Not so fun: Exorbitant price surges on your favorite ride app.
Fun: Swaying and singing together.
Not so fun: Pretending you know the lyrics to Auld Lang Syne. (But don’t worry about it, because you’ll never miss as many lyrics as Mariah Carey did so spectacularly when her technology failed last New Year’s Eve. Mimi handled it as only a diva could!)

Fun: Feeling renewed and full of resolutions.
Not so fun: Running out of steam a week later when you’re halfway through your closet reorganization. (This was my house during one of these, and this photo still gives me anxiety.)

Fun: Enjoying holiday decorations one last time this season.
Not so fun: Dragging the Christmas tree out to the curb that first week of the new year.

Love your "retro" red refrigerator, also the pot rack. I'm only 5'2", so if I came to visit, I'd never be able to see the dust up that high......kind of like I ignore my ceiling fans. Happy New Year.
Red refrigerator is da bomb
Becky I love your kitchen and the closet ain't too shabby.....
