Help with home exterior
Comments (2)I vote no to the shutters. The windows are pretty enough without them and it will look too overdone and crowded. As far as siding, I would think the simpler the better for this style. I wouldn't put too many combinations on there or it will look chopped up. And I can see one siding mainly but if you really want to add any stone or brick, I would only put it just below the lower front two windows across the bottom as an accent....See Moreexterior color options

Comments (40)Well, I'm bummed out, back to square one. The PB chair has been discontinued (though active on their website) and the CB chair is just too dark. Do you all have any recommendations for chairs with clean lines, low profile and low height? preferably with some patting in the seating area to soften the look. Thank you...See MoreHelp with exterior renovation options for two story columns
Comments (2)First, remove the shutters, they are way too small for those windows. Next, paint the front doors to get rid of one of all those clashing red colors. Navy blue might look good here. Next, you need to change either the roof or the house color. A grey roof would be easier to work with. But if the roof is still in good shape, take a look at Romabio limewash for the brick. When you are ready for structural changes, in addition to the pillars, I think you need to look at widening the front steps and improving the front landscaping to work with the beautiful trees behind your house. And is it possible to add a roof deck to that one story part on the right side of your home? (you would have to access it by turning a window on the right side into a doorway). There is a lot to do here, but since you are happy with the interior, you can take as long as you need to update the exterior at your own pace....See MorePPF.
