We are watching a lot more on Netflix and Amazon. Not much on the channels from Directv.

there are a couple of documentaries on Trump on Neflix. i had to 'search' for the one i was looking for.. its 4 parts. he has not changed at all! still uses the same words "terrific" "tremendous" etc. i could only stomach part one. had to take a break. might watch part 2 tonight ??

Two25...the first couple of episodes started going pretty dark, and we were

a bit disappointed, but then everything kind of started getting better and

the last episode was just right. :)

I watch a lot of reality shows. married at first sight, 90 Day fiance, whatever is the newest. I love the little people shows. Otherwise, I watch Netflix.

I seem to be going through a period in which turning on the tv does not even occur to me.

Seems that without Jeopardy (new), there's nothing to watch. Started a couple of British comedies on Acorn, which were pretty good.

Uptown, I’m sorry I didn’t explain well. It’s a great show, I’ve seen all 6 seasons and every one was amazing so I have no doubt, season 7 will be great too. it was my first experience with the Master Piece Mystery Theater and I’ve been hooked ever since on most all of the mystery shows they offer. I had no clue that a new season was upon us, but came across the rerun for the last show in season 5 and the beginning of season 6 while I was setting up the recordings for that night. Season 7 is definitely on my must see list. :c)

PS: I found the Endeavor reruns playing in our area on Sunday afternoon.

We like watching film noir and I've seen 2 doozies lately. Both were psychological thrillers that were just Wow!

One was Ira Levin's A Kiss Before Dying...he did Rosemary's Baby and Stepford Wives too. Movie had a young Robert Wagner playing the charming sociopath.

The other was The Sign of the Ram...which could've ranked up there with other hitchcock thrillers.

A lot of HGTV, Food Channel, TBN, game shows...

I also only watch in the evening, beginning around 4p or 5p. Not necessarily for the news either which I always watch first thing in the morning as I eat breakfast, but after a half hour or so of that in the morning, I switch to the Classical Showcase channel until done eating, then tv goes off as I get ready to settle down with coffee and the newspaper.

I watch those inane cartoon series while I eat supper in the evening! American Dad, Family Guy. ha

Anyway, as stated above not much on right now. The new season of The Alienist has started on Sunday nights. Other than that I channel surf, really like the History Channel and other channels of that nature, however most are reruns now. At 11pm. I end back up on the Classical Showcase channel until bedtime.

I am binge watching The Good Fight on CBS All Access. It is the sequel to The Good Wife.

Why would people who don't watch television open this thread and comment? I don't get it.

In the category “life imitates art” category, we are watching Servant of the People on Netflix. It is about a Ukrainian high school history teacher who is elected president of Ukraine. and in reality, the star of the show was, in fact, elected president of Ukraine. The series is good, funny, deals with corruption and politics but also the president at home with his parents and sister.

The Last Dance, also now on Netflix.

And I’m actually watching When Calls the Heart, my guilty pleasure after DH goes to bed.

I love When Calls the Heart and When Hope Calls. We watch both of those as a family. I have been watching Sweet Magnolias and Little Fires Everywhere. Getting ready for new seasons of Wentworth, Lucifer, and Selling Sunset.

Probably you are not speaking of anyone who has posted in this thread, as I don't think anyone has said that TV is so awful.

I also seem to be going through a period of time in which I haven't played tennis, but I might open a thread about people's current experience of playing tennis. People who don't play tennis or who haven't played tennis this year are just part of the slice of forum participants here.

I don't have tv so have to stream on my laptop. I like having something playing that I don't have to just sit and concentrate on, but can kind of listen to and glance at as I do other things. Plus the state of the world has me so distressed that I can barely concentrate on anything very long.

I heard a Ray Romano stand-up bit on the radio recently that was so funny that I decided to see if Everybody Loves Raymond was streaming somewhere. It's on Hulu, so I've been playing that. I recently upgraded my hulu acct so am able to get HGTV shows now, but not too much worth watching. I always enjoyed house hunters, but I find I'm so annoyed by nearly every single couple/person with their carbon copy want list that I can't even watch that.

We've been enjoying a show on broadcast tv called Animals Unscripted. It's funny videos of animals, and no narration, just raw video. There might be an entire argument just with cats, or puppies, or wildlife.

It's on one of the secondary channels, 9-3 here, and there might be 4 episodes in a row, or even an afternoon marathon. It's the perfect pandemic/election year viewing. Entertaining, funny, sweet, almost no people at all.

I stream mostly........Britbox and Acorn TV. I am in the middle of both Rebus and Taggert, long running British police procedurals. And just recently finished watching the Yorkshire Vet, which is the modern day version of All Creatures Great and Small. Same practice made popular by James Herriot in his books but an actual, reality based show, not fictionalized. I get my baby goat fix there :-)) I get Netflix as well but not all that much there that interests me.

I watch very little network TV. PBS occasionally and Animal Planet and NatGeo Wild. Now and again a local channel that shows old series - NYPD Blues, Nash Bridges, House, Monk.

I have avoided watching the news since November 2016. All it does is piss me off and raise my blood pressure. Seeing or hearing what passes for leadership in this country makes me want to heave or throw something at the TV!!That doesn't happen so much if I just read about it so I access a few online news sources to keep up to date.

As I mentioned at the KT before, I watched Longmire on Netflix for a couple of months and loved it. I wish I could find another show with such great characters. Unfortunately, PBS reception is unreliable for me, especially this time of year.

GardenGal, back when NYPD Blue was first broadcast I was drawn to their cars. At the beginning of each episode, when they exited the garage in their Chevy Caprice cop cars, I would think, I want one of those! And eventually I bought myself one. Love that car. I'm still driving it!

I don't watch TV. I watch PBS via the app, Netflix, Prime, IMDBtv, Kanopy. I've enjoyed Downton Abbey, Outer Banks, Queen of the South, Bosch, Longmire, Sweet Magnolias and many more. I refuse to watch anything Hallmark or Disney, and am seriously considering dropping Netflix.

After watching almost all the new Netflix ones we're watching The Politician now.

We've been watching RuPaul's Drag Race, and we've recorded it from cable, but I think you can stream it from VH1. I think tonight is the last episode of the season, and after that, I will soon be getting rid of cable, as they raised the price by $30 a month after my initial contract was over.

We watch a lot using our antenna, and we get quite a few PBS channels on that. I've been watching Escape to the Country on DABL, and the current episodes are from 2014-2015. It is interesting to see the English version of real estate, although it is not my taste at all. Still, I can appreciate it from a distance. I would like to see an Italian version of this show. The English on this show are too staid and stolid.

Haha, just kidding of course. Two people in my life are police officers and I've done lots of ride-alongs in those cars. It was always so exciting when a call would come in that required going "code" (lights and siren and really fast driving). It's been quite a few years since I did it; things didn't seem so dangerous back then. I'd never do it now.

Olychick, although I would love to have those flashing lights in the grille LOL my Caprice is not police-equipped. It's the same model they used though, and when I first got it 25 years ago people slowed down around me all the time. These days I'm ignored, except for the men who come up to me in parking lots to admire my vehicle. My family teases me about old men hitting on me, but I can tell it's not me they're hitting on--it's my car.

I remember that feeling all to well. Except we had to put up with 8 seemingly endless years of it. SO refreshing to hear speeches where the pronoun 'I' isn't used hundreds of times.

We never found much on Netflix that we hadn't already seen. We mostly stream from Amazon.

We're almost at the end of Suits -- the final season. Liked Blue Murder and Dickensian. Sorry Bosch will have only one more season. Haven't started Billions, as I think they weren't able to finish it due to Covid-19. Waiting for Season 7 of Spiral, probably via DVD from library. Loved the first season of Professor T -- Belgian dubbed to English; have asked our library to buy the other two seasons. Waiting to see Endeavor. Spent hours watching all of The French Village -- four seasons on Amazon, then three more on DVD from our library. (Runs from the occupation to end of WWII.)

DH and I have Teatime Matinee most afternoons, consuming a LOT of one-hour shows, along with tea and cookies.

Loved Last Tango in Halifax and Unforgotten. Unforgotten is really well done. I recently watched Downton Abbey. I had never seen it.

I seem to be the odd one here. Supernatural is my go-to comfort background noise. I have started watching VanHelsing, American Horror Story (had to skip Season 2 - it was too much for me), Deputy, sometimes Midsomer Murders and plenty of youtube craft videos. Just downloaded the app for Curiosity Stream but haven't begun watching anything yet. I use a Roku, have Netflix and Hulu and Amazon Prime, no cable or antenna.

I'm currently watching Little Fires Everywhere. I'm not enthralled with it, I find it slow. Reese Witherspoon is the exact same persona as she portrays in Little Big Lies, which certainly suits her. She does it well.

I also watch Dynasty....the new version, The Rookie with Nathan Fillion from Castle. I started watching Dolly Parton's Heartstrings last Sunday, and I'll watch another episode this weekend.

Michele...we loved "Unforgotten". I wish there were more being made. Right now there is a marathon of

the "Murdock Mysteries" on two of the channels we get. I had never seen

any before this week.

Did someone mention the show about David Foster? We watched it last night. Interesting, he certainly is talented and accomplished, but . . . it sounded like he produced it himself lol.

We have enjoyed Heartland, When Calls The Heart, Greenleaf, and now we are enjoying Yellowstone.

We just watched the movie Knives Out with Jamie Lee Curtis, Daniel Craig, and Don Johnson on Amazon Prime. We both enjoyed it.

My husband and I are in the middle of Criminal Minds on Netflix. Love it but can only watch 1 or 2 and then need a break from the violence.

I recently watched "Down to Earth" with Zac Efron. I think 8 episodes where he travels all over the world learning about healthy, sustainable ways of living, eating, etc. Very informative and some beautiful places to visit. I really enjoyed all the episodes.

I started to watch Knives Out but couldn't get into it.

I really liked High Note with Diana Ross' daughter singing the lead. Very enjoyable movie.

Yesterday I finished Little Fires Everywhere, apparently it's up in the air whether there will be a second season.

I'm on the last season of How I Met Your Mother I have no idea whats next. I've done Cheers, Frasier, Friends, Orange is the New Black, Wentworth, and sooooooo many more. Oh and Grace and Frankie.
