Quiettude is one of my favorite colors & looks great with cherry. It will also compliment your trim. I would also do the ceiling in Window Pane. I would do an upholstered headboard or fully upholstered bed in a light neutral (linen might be very nice)Bassett has excellent ones, btw. The fully upholstered beds have such a serene & clean look. I usually agree that paint color comes last, but in this case I think it's a go. Maybe linen roman shades to compliment & lime-y accessories. I LOVE your room. The colors make my heart happy. Mine's a collection of stuff. We had, a long time ago, an entire set of waterbed stuff. I was certainly ready for a change. I bought the headboard and shelf after my mom died. It was a last present from her kinda thing...the pieces came from a craft fair. I drooled over them for afew months before I finally brought them home. The chair is my 'run away from home' chair. As a homeschool mom sometimes I had to get away without living home. I have flowers and a birdfeeder out the window. There are no frou-frou window treatments. I'm not a frou-frou girl. Everything in the room has been collected over time. I couldn't bring myself to buy a matched set either. I needed personality.

I’m with everyone else. I think you might hate it or not use it for its purpose if you did it. Think of all the traffic and shoes going in and out of your master bedroom (especially if you have carpet), not to mention carting food back and forth through it. Also, if you or your spouse isnt feeling well, or has to head to bed early while the party continues, its right outside your bedroom, and everyone gets to tromp right through your bedroom on the way out. And, they’ll all be using your master bath. Out front off the kitchen or dining would be a much better location. You can add higher rails for privacy, cover with lattice or plants or both. Tons of options/ideas.

You can certainly do roman blinds. As an option, I like the Hunter Douglass Silhouette shades. If you are a do it yourself type of person you can buy a very similar shade for less and install it yourself from American Blinds. You might consider those for privacy and light blocking. I've got them in a very traditional house, but I think they would work well in a more modern application, too. I would suggest curtain panels for each side of the each of the windows. They should be hung above the top of the windows and full length to the floor.
