Master Bedroom Pics - Would you do Roman Shades?
Comments (11)I am glad I posted as I was for sure taking those blinds down but now I don't think I will. Have you ever seen the "decorative" drapes on the super short poles that go on either side of the window to "frame" it yet it is impossible to draw the drapes closed because they are all scrunched up to be about a foot long on a foot long decorative pole. I doubt I am explaining myself well but i was thinking in terms of this b/c I don't want to ever bother closing the drapes nor do I need to and nor do I want all that material. this kind of "frames" the window. I have seen it on HGTV but can't figure out how/where to buy this I will look into RH...Any other ideas or mind readers out there that know WHAT I am talking about? :)...See MoreExtending bedroom to make it a master suite plus a covered deck

Comments (1)I would start by placing the bed on the far, empty wall, with two small end tables. It will be the focal point as you walk into the room, and you won't be looking straight into the bathroom from the bed. The wall with the main door can be used for a dresser, or two armchairs, depending on your needs. Get a roman shade for the window, mounted at the ceiling, so you get full light when it is up, and will look proportional to the wall when down. Do both your doors into the bathroom and closet swing in? You might consider a barn door, at least on the closet, to give you more space inside....See MoreMaster/Primary Bedroom Feedback Please
Comments (20)I would also switch shower area and closet. It will be much quieter for the bedroom to have the plumbing on the wall where the closet currently is. Also, I don’t think there will be moisture issues because the shower is far enough away from the closet. We walk through our closet to get to the bathroom, specifically designed that way, and there is no moisture at all. First, we don’t take 20 minute long steam showers and, second, we have two round, quiet, exhaust fans on either side of the shower. So put it an effective fan and I wouldn’t worry about it. But those are also pretty big closets. You mentioned beach house...second house? Just seem large if it is beach or second home. But perhaps you have other things to store? My hubs would not need as large a closet as I would either. ;) finally, the shower area does seem kinda tight and dark. Maybe if you switch it with the closet you could grab a few extra feet? Just some general air circulating around the shower and tub would be nice. Good luck!...See MoreIP
