This is a very odd layout for a kitchen. It also looks like the island and the rest of the cabinets are two different kitchens. The biggest problem is that the cabinets and flooring blend together. There needs to be some contrast. Dark floors would provide that but they will also show absolutely everything, which is hard in a kitchen.

You could take the tile to Benjamin Moore and let them use a color meter/detector/scanner to read the color of the spot on the tile you want to match and either custom-blend something for you or point you to the nearest match. Always get a test pint and paint it on a large board or sheet of something or the wall itself before purchasing the gallons. The sheen can make a big difference in appearance of the color. I recently did a couple of rooms in Benjamin Moore's Aura paint from the Affinity collection in satin sheen, and it was initially a little more reflective than I had wanted, but I love it now, and it's very easy to clean if needed. Aura is the most water-resistant of the paints and good for kitchen areas.

@A T Thanks for the recommendations! I hadn't considered Leathered granite, I do have some concerns on resale value with leathered as it is much less common, but will definitely look into it. The tile you suggested though is perfect! Thank you!! @la_la Girl I am open to making it all one level, but at this point planning to keep it different heights. My main concern is losing multiple outlets and that this opens directly into the living room. I kind of like the dual height from the perspective that it hides the mess in the kitchen (oops!), but I am definitely open to hearing reasons to take it down to one level! @acm Thanks for the input! You may be right, I could try painting the cabinets and then see how the granite looks before replacing. Since the butlers pantry is separated from the rest of the kitchen i have debated using that as my "test case" and painting the cabinets there to see how they look before getting into the rest of the kitchen.

I agree, what you have is too pink toned. It clashes with everything in your kitchen. I would take a chance and go with an actual color, like a light greenish color, or a light bluish greenish color. I dont mind the color of the cabinets, so if they looked a bit more yellowy orange, it would be fine with me. I do like the side splash and wouldnt remove that. I think it would look unfinished without it, and also would look off balance with the opposite side of the doorway splash. Your kitchen looks very homey. Love the few things, I can see on top of the cabinets, although, am pretty sure, someone will post soon, that they should be removed. Not sure what it is these days, with these boring, neutral everything kitchens. Kitchens should be a happy place to work in.
