How should I paint and stain stairs?

We are trying to get our house ready to list and the stairs were not up to code and were outdated. We started doing this in a hurry and I didn't think I would like what I had originally picked out, which was painting the newel, handrail, risers, side trim, and trim underneath spindles white with black spindles. I thought it would make the room look too bleak. It is a split level foyer with one staircase going up and one going down, so even though I'd like to change the color of stair treads, I think it would be too much, considering there is a flooring change already downstairs. Any advice?

We bought a new red oak handrail. The newel isn't my first choice but I didn't want to spend $200 on the only other style in stock. It's also red oak.
This is the look I like but I can't figure out the stain color:https://www.dropbox.com/s/3snf1pkocmhnay5/Screenshot_20200704-214502.png?dl=0
Thanks in advance!
