Amanda: You want the sink to be as far forward as possible and still allow drawer tip-outs to function if you have them; around 4" with a 1 1/2" overhang. 3" if you don't have tip-outs. Mount the sink with a Hercules Universal Sink Harness (Braxton Bragg) or a Sink Strap or two from Regent Stone Products, please. Disregard the manufacturer supplied clips.

Those reviewers appear not to know that. But whether you pay $300 or $3000 for a stainless steel sink, it will scratch. After a while the scratches blend into a patina, and you don’t notice them. But if you truly don’t want scratches in your sink, you should not get a stainless steel sink. Get a different material like Blanco Silgranit or Kohler enameled cast iron. For a stainless steel sink in your size, I like to recommend the Elkay Crosstown ECTRU30179RTC which comes with a sink grid. Elkay is a good company, and their Crosstown sink has a corner drain. Thank you Magnifico for the recommendation. I have already ordered the cabinets, and don't have the ability to use the larger 45" in my plans, and the smaller would not provide the larger sink I prefer. At least that is my observation when looking at the sink online...all have an integrated drainboard. Thank you Joseph. I am not able to do an apron sink. But agree that many Kohler sinks have the design with 1/2" corners to do a better job as a work space than the one I have. Since you seem very familiar, is there an equivalent non-apron model? Have you received good feedback with the Franke Pescara? Thanks for the feedback!
