Which stainless undermount kitchen sink will you recommend?

I'm struggling with finding a good stainless undermount 32-inch kitchen sink. I order the Kraus Kore station but found every corner has gap at the welding line. I contacted Kraus and they said it's normal. I worried that it would leak so I returned. I was gonna order Kraus Standart Pro single bowl instead but there seem to be lots of reviews about Kraus stainless sinks in general that it gets scratched easily and the flat bottom doesn't drain water. Help! Please recommend me one you are happy with so I can check it off my shopping list.

ALL stainless steel sinks scratch. That is the nature of stainless steel. Those reviewers appear not to know that. But whether you pay $300 or $3000 for a stainless steel sink, it will scratch. After a while the scratches blend into a patina, and you don’t notice them. But if you truly don’t want scratches in your sink, you should not get a stainless steel sink. Get a different material like Blanco Silgranit or Kohler enameled cast iron.

For a stainless steel sink in your size, I like to recommend the Elkay Crosstown ECTRU30179RTC which comes with a sink grid. Elkay is a good company, and their Crosstown sink has a corner drain. Once you have a sink with a corner drain, you’ll never go back to a center drain again.

I've installed quite a few Kraus sinks and never saw this or had a leak. They are some of the better sinks available, especially for the price.

I'm in the market for an undermount stainless sink right now and I'm leaning towards Oliveri. There seem to be many good options at reasonable cost though. One thing to consider is the quality of the stainless steel - I really don't like to bash Chinese products in general, but it's a fact that quality of stainless steel produced in China is less consistent than stainless produced in first world countries. Some batches are good and some less so. So I did not consider stainless sinks manufactured in China.

The bigger issue I see is how to finish the exposed edges on the tile above the sink rim. With a solid surface product like granite or marble, the material is visually the same all the way through. Tile will not be that way. If the sink is under mounted, then the "raw edge" of the tile will show. Koehler makes what they call "tile in" cast iron sinks, where the lip of the sink is set in the same plane as the tile surface (not under mounted) I have tile countertops, and used a drop in stainless sink (blanco wave and ÃÂ½-got on Amazon). Had the same thing in my old house and liked it so much I did it again.

New Ruvati sink arrived yesterday, not what I had expected...due to all the positive reviews. I got all caught up on the "positive" reviews. Finish is that of a lesser quality sink. Upon doing more research, Ruvati is not the manufacturer, and is fairly new to the market. They claim they use 100% recycled materials, made in China. Stick to a name brand and not made in China~

After getting the sink installed I'm regretting not purchasing a self-trimming apron front sink instead. When the contractors cut the cabinet, it left a small gap around the sink edges (and a few chips too). The contractor says they'll cover it with scribe molding so you won't see it, and hopefully that will resolve the issue. We have 2 Kraus sinks and have been very happy with them. They do not have any seams like you show in your photos. Our main clean up sink is the KHU-100 32 inch. Our prep sink is a KBU-15. Both come with grids which helps with scratching but yes all stainless sinks get scratches.

Wow. That is the worse edge weld I have ever seen. So much for quality control.

I just got my kraus standart delivered and the corners look nothing like that at all.

I got a Kraus Standard Pro installed in June/July and it looks perfect. I asked around on these forums and basically heard all good about the quality.

Yes Kraus Standart Pro is nice with rounded corners, except that the drain in in the center. I ordered the Kore Workstation mainly because of the offset drain, but don't know why Kraus does such a crappy job on Kraus Kore Workstation at the welding seams

I installed a Kore 30" with the offset drain about 8 weeks ago and the corners and seams were perfect. I purchased it from Overstock and it was well packaged. I have been happily surprised with the quality and love the functionality of the sink.

We are very happy with our Julien sink. Installed in 2007 and still going strong. 😊
