Kitchen undermount ss sink in 24inch base cabinet
Comments (5)Indeed, your cabinet person is correct. Cutting the cabinet is a common process. I was a kitchen designer for 20 years and did that regularly. Often a 24" sink will fit without cutting the cabinet. The flanges will sit on the top of the cabinet sides and will act as support. The sides will have to be routed down the thickness of the sink material so the top of the sink is flush with the top of the cabinet. I have a diagram on my site that illustrates how to do this. Comments (6)I disagree with Mama Rachel. Our stainless apron front has been in use for over a year and it still looks great. I cook every single day, almost exclusively from scratch so ours is a heavily used kitchen. Ours is curved, not flat front, but the finish is brushed so maybe that helps hide any incidental small scratches. Maybe it helps that I rarely wear a belt and I very rarely tuck anything into my pants so maybe the zipper is covered most of the time. It hasn't been an issue for us at all. Comments (3)Just received a Ruvati yesterday. Not what I had expected due to all the positive reviews! Finish is that of a lesser quality sink, has an uneven tone, not attractive. Learned my lesson, sticking with a quality name brand, and not made in China!...See MoreReplace kitchen SS under mount sink
