Comments (18)I just went through this process with Fireclay tiles, so I have some idea about the colors you've got here. My vote would be for the whitest one--Feldspar, or possibly Dolomite if the undertones work better for you. The matte glaze on these tiles will not fight with your statement countertops. i like the Grass Cloth as well, but that's a commitment to a lot of green. I don't think Blue Spruce works great here, but you will know best, as it looks very different based on the lighting in the room. If you are going for a high variation glaze like Blue Spruce, it would be advisable to order several (5-6) samples of it so you can see the full variation, which is quite dramatic. Good luck! (I chose Dolomite for my own, mostly white kitchen)....See MoreBianco antico, I need back splash help please!
Comments (4)I disagree about the gray tile. A light gray glass subway tile might work nicely. You already have white cabinets everywhere so it won't "dull it down". Get samples to make sure they work with the slab you've chosen: The more elongated version would make it a bit more contemporary; and the traditional 3 x 6 more traditional....See MoreBacksplash Help Please
Comments (18)Did the desiger say more specifically what about the style doesn't work? I think of subway as the tile that can go with any style. I'm not sure what rich, European style is -post some inspiration pics if you feel inclined, cause I'd love to know. I don't see why you can't merge rich and rustic into an elevated look. Here are some pics of what I consider to be elegant style kitchens all with subway tile splashes. A few have some rustic elements in the pics as well. (I swear I'm not being paid by the subway tile industry. Just a huge fan!)...See MoreSarah T
