It's hard to tell colors on a computer monitor. But I will say that your cabinets, pulls and countertop are very beautiful. I love that counter and I love the finish on your cabinets. If this were my kitchen I'd choose the most quiet backsplash in the most neutral color possible, so that the counter and cabinets can be the stars of the show. So pick a light neutral that is the lightest shade of the neutral in the countertop. It's okay if it's a crackle finish, but stay away from bevels or anything that has an insteresting or fussy shape. Plain-plain-plain is your friend here.

The brown or the white. I’m not sure what the yellows or the pink relate to in your room at all to make it a permanent fixture. If you like those other colors, do the white and then decorate with the yellow. I agree with ssdarb. Well said.

I see the yellow in the counter, but to my eye it doesn't quite fit the feel of the room, and I don't think the pinkish/putty/taupe colors would go great with your cabs. I think white would look great, although I also like the top left tile in the 1st picture. Does it go with your sconce?

traci, I looked back at your first post. I also like the Rosemary color, the green?

Have you seen cpartist's kitchen with Fusion counters? I did a quick search and found one thread with a kitchen photo. I know she posted many more. Search in Kitchens. She used a green tile. I remember it was a more mundane brand than Fireclay. Her cabinets are white but her island was wood. Love my white crackle back splash. The hood, cooktop and counters are the stars of that wall in my kitchen. Love the subtle beauty of crackle. I broke the cardinal rule of full backslash instead of 4 inch granite. I couldn't stand the idea of all white so have soft BM Healing Aloe to give some contrast. Also there wasn't a natural place in my design to stop the splash so I only did it by cooktop. Your counters are gorgeous. Don't do yellow. Buy towels or other design elements. Light taupe would be nice as well.

I agree with staying away from yellow. If you personally love yellow, do your accessories in yellow. People think that yellow is a great color for kitchens. It can be, if the yellow is the perfect yellow, if it goes with your kitchen and if it is not too loud. There is new evidence that having a yellow kitchen reduces the selling price of your home by about $2,200. I think that is alot to give up when you decide to sell your house.

I think everyone is right about the counter tops, etc. (I love walnut!) Use the exact white of your cupboards, and let your counter and cupboards be the stars they are!

Between the computer monitors and the photographs the colors aren’t coming off well, for example Blue Spruce doesn’t look pink in person but certainly does in the photos. Now I‘m afraid of installing it and seeing a wall of pink. There are two whites that look great with the white cabinets and I can always paint the walls if I want additional contrast. Again, thank you.

alanalinette, I am going to do the tile to a few inches above the window sill. I’d like to take it up the entire wall but that seems overkill in my small kitchen.

Can you repost the tiles the way you have then sitting up on the counter, except with white paper behind them? That can help get a true sense of the color.

I just went through this process with Fireclay tiles, so I have some idea about the colors you've got here. My vote would be for the whitest one--Feldspar, or possibly Dolomite if the undertones work better for you. The matte glaze on these tiles will not fight with your statement countertops. i like the Grass Cloth as well, but that's a commitment to a lot of green. I don't think Blue Spruce works great here, but you will know best, as it looks very different based on the lighting in the room. If you are going for a high variation glaze like Blue Spruce, it would be advisable to order several (5-6) samples of it so you can see the full variation, which is quite dramatic. Good luck! (I chose Dolomite for my own, mostly white kitchen).

I’ve been trying to match the countertop, which hasn’t been working well because I don’t want that much green, so now I’m rethinking my plan and matching the upper cabinets. I haven‘t purchased the tile yet but I think I’ll go with Ultra Cream. It’s a good match to the cabinets.

Hi Sharon, I LOVE the Fusion. It’s so gorgeous and I got it from MSI too. It was incredibly expensive so I do question whether it was a good idea but I am so happy with it I can’t imagine I’d be near as happy with anything else.
