Where did everyone go?
Comments (7)it has slowed due to the season as well as many hav emoved on to others boards. the most recent thread about this same thing disappeared a couple weeks ago. the board gods here don't like when folks mention other forums. they know people will prefer sites that don't have 200 popups a minute blasting in their face and use REAL forum software. gee, since i mentioned this same thing in the last 10 or 12 threads that disappeared i wonder if they will kill this one too. oh well, blame me if they do....See MoreWhere is everyone?
Comments (17)I am still around. Like gonzer- I am weary of people dropping in just to ask for free IDs and then not even saying thank you- to say nothing of the fact such people often have no intention of sharing their experiences for the benefit of all. Common issue with many hobby forums these days. For the 2010 freeze in Houston, I was out of town and came home to a lot of dead plants covered in ice (had it not been for the big rainfall that froze over, most would have been fine)- including that awesome Aechmea Marcelino I posted here a couple of summers ago. Living back in Austin now and building up a nice collection again- but mostly offsets of collectible type stuff, so nothing blooming to post just yet. Still- enjoy lurking and reading. The Aechmea spectabilis thread was helpful now that I have a young pup taking up an entire corner of the patio. For all the junk, there is still much good discussion here- and I am grateful for it....See MoreThank you to all of You... Great community!
Comments (18)E.O., many of us, have found ourselves in the middle of a 'spat' or in disfavor, if posting long enough! I see it as a 'family thing' where if you hang out with anyone long enough there is bound to be a conflict of opinion or an 'annoyance' factor raising it's head, or a 'bruising of feelings' on a day when if it were another, we might not be nearly so sensitive. The good thing about our *group* (I feel) is when we do clash, it isn't too long before we seem to get past it and move on with life in the garden! I'm not a grudge holder, myself--life is too short! I'm willing to move on, and hope for better things for the future! It's the human-factor we deal with, good and bad!! :o) I find there is something I like and that is positive about every person that posts regularly! If not--I would not return so often---as I do!;o)...See MoreWhere did everyone go?
Comments (5)No, that isn't the same grill. This one was $799. There was a smaller Virco grill there for $399, but I knew what I wanted before I got it. The one that I got was the newer version of the Virco grill that people were talking about here about a year ago. One of these days, I will get a couple of pictures up of the new model....See More- irma_stpete_10a thanked Carol love_the_yard (Zone 9A Jacksonville, FL)
