1st DeadHead of the Season - Do I Prune the Crossing Canes

1st Growing Seasons since BareRoot from Last Year....

Just went through and deadheaded the 1st flush

Most of the roses I'm okay on the pruning points as they are all pretty *wide open*

However, on Boscobel, it has grown very dense. Lots of crossing new growth even though the late winter prune of 2020 , it was roughly 3-5 buds per stem. Do you guys leave them alone until the growing season is all said and done. I don't think I can clean the density up unless I sit there literally, pull on rubbing stem to see where it's attached, then following opposing rubbing stem and see where it's attached , and make a judgement call to trace it back down to the main stem and just lop it off flush. It is that -dense- with new canes/foliage that I need to some some tugging/tracing to follow where each goes to.
