Shade of purple for front door help!
Comments (23)Some examples of painted sidelights (and some transoms)^^ you don't have much in the way of trim: think about painting all of it the purple, or doing the trim in the house color to make it disappear. The "step" under the door I think should be house color. ^^i love how the whole door, side lights, and casing are one color. ^^here casing and "step" are house color ^^ in this case all of the fancy trim is highlighted in a trim color, but not having trim, I think yours should be purple...See MoreFront door help
Comments (4)Coastal Alabama climate, the front door entrance is wrought iron so I would like to keep it:) The shutters are iron as well. Afternoon sun in front of the house but huge trees everywhere else. New roof coming soon but not sure what material to use........See Morefront door help
Comments (9)That will be an expensive door to replace and I would not touch it if there is nothing wrong with it. here are companies out there that will come out and cut your door open and install any number of glass packages in it. CAVEAT: Most of those are set up to cut holes in standard sized steel and fiberglass doors. Anything that you would cut to the width to match the current glass placement would likely undermine the strength of the door and cause it to rack and become unstable. What is above the door, i.e. from the outside? If a 2nd floor is not directly above (I suspect it is), a sun tunnel would probably be cheaper. Long story short, if you can't bring in daylighting from somewhere else, you are likely going to be forced into a a complete door replacement and are going to have to look at a unit that is clearly well built to accommodate a bunch of visible glass and still maintain its stability....See MoreSelecting a paint colour for garage and front door-HELP!
Comments (2)One idea: paint the garage door the color of the siding above, and do an earthy pink front door. Farrow & Ball has a beautiful dusky pink — Sulking Room Pink: These are all that color, in different lighting: Apparently, it attracts white dogs. :D...See Morefreedomplace1
