Recommendation for a paint color for our master bedroom

I have painted our master bath BM Pebble beach. It is a muted blue gray in our renovated master bathroom. The shower tile is gray and the vanity is white. I would like to paint our master bedroom so there is flow between the two rooms. It is a north facing room, but I wanted to have the room feel bright and airy. Any suggestions.

It may be worth having a look at both 1632 Glass Slipper & 868 Mountain Mist also by Benjamin Moore.

They are both relatives of Pebble Beach, coming from the very same region of the Blue-Green Hue Family, so they have a close, organic connection.

They differ to Pebble Beach by being approx 5 points lighter. Pebble Beach is also approx 50% more greyed than they are. Or you could describe them as having twice as much Chroma, (colourfulness) as Pebble Beach. Even so, they are still low Chroma colours and as such are more susceptible to changes in available lighting. So check you like them in your space in different light.

But in general you may find both of them as lighter, more colourful and airier versions of Pebble Beach.

I didn't even see the smaller pictures load before thinking Hah -- the colors I was thinking -- and moving on (they were tearing out my tile floors today -- sneaking any internet time during the day was a treat). Looking closer, the walls appear gray on my screen too, and that works too. Looks like one of what I initially saw as two shades of blue may be one grey and one blue. If you don't have the bedding and that's what you want, get it and then it will be much easier to pick a color from it or inspired by it to work with everything, especially since it has a touch of yellow. Has some beige too, but they are compliments to the cooler colors.

Yes, I think pink is a beautiful color for a master bedroom! The trick is picking the right pink and then balancing it with other elements that are not overly feminine. I love pink and brown together, or black. When choosing a grownup ink go to the brown section in your color deck. As you move up to the lighter colors you will see what I refer to as dirty pinks. These are softer, more pleasing pinks that men can love.

I had a very hard time finding this duvet cover to fit our comforter, and it wasn't cheap either! so I'm going the other way :) need wall color to match the bedding. How do you change the color of the walls in a picture? I could play with something like that. Thank you!

I'm guessing since you are painting the dresser you like dyi or you are on a budget. I think a tuff head board, paint furniture white and some pretty drapes. This is a link to dyi tuff headboard and scroll down and she has similar gray color scheme going with white bedside tables grey tuff headboard. You could go with other color that compliment your gray walls/carpet If you scroll the link she shows a picture of the room. P.s. A friend has Farrow & Ball, Borrowed Light, in her north facing front room which gets only moderate light. It is another quite similar colour. Every time I visit I always bob in to have a quick look at that space, as I find the colour is so up-lifting.

So please don’t believe everything you read about appropriate colours for rooms with northern light. As long as you strike the right balance between how light and how colourful a colour is to best fit your space and lighting, you can potentially find a colour from every Hue Family to work in a north facing room.
