We broke the grand dog!!!

last modified: 4 years ago

Our 10 lb poodle grand dog is staying with us this week. She is an active 2 yo who fell at their dog park a few weeks ago and landed on her shoulder. She occasionally favors her left front leg (the one she fell on). They have had her to the vet twice to check things out but they were focusing on the shoulder. Plus with the pandemic, Winnie wasn't very good about relaying where it hurts! They did do x rays on the second visit, found nothing, and the vet said she is faking as she can't elicit a pain response from Winnie. They did send her home on Rimadyl.

I quickly noticed it is her forearm or paw as she occasionally holds it up and guards it while walking. She was crated yesterday so we took her for a short (maybe 1/3 to 1/2 mile walk) She did great but afterwards has really been limping. Still going on today. She occasionally will put all 4 legs down but not often.

So all you dog lovers, what do you think? Parents will be home over the weekend and we do not live in the same town as their vet.
