Countertop Fabrication Botch Job - What Would you do?

We are remodeling our home and recently had porcelain countertops installed. There are a number of issues and I need some perspective on the problems.

  • In the kitchen, there is a chip on the edge of the countertop near the sink.
  • In the master bathroom, there is a cut near the edge of the sink opening.

  • In another bathroom, there is a chip in the backsplash. This seems like an easy fix.
  • On the bar, the seams that meet the walls are jagged. The fabricator claimed that they thought there would be a sidesplash to hide the seams - we will not have any sidesplash or tile on the sidewalls of the bar.

What would you do? Should we ask for replacement of the slabs? Is it reasonable to expect that there are no chips or gouges? Can they repair the chips without it being noticeable? What is industry standard on these matters?

Thanks for your input.
