Seen any good movies or DVD's lately?
Comments (4)We went to see a few action movies lately...the second Pirates of the Carribean and Miami Vice. Both very very good. My girlfriend and I went out the other day and went to You, Me and Dupree. Not as good. Funny, silly and stupid but lighthearted and we enjoyed it. Today (Aug 6) was the first year wedding anniversary for my daughter and her husband. Since it is their 'paper' anniversary when we went to the movies I bought 2 extra tickets and presented them with those pieces of paper when they came into the theatre. We went to a 'chick flick', John Tucker Must Die. A silly, teenage girl movie. We thought it was definitely for teenage girls. But we (my DH and I and the anniversary couple) enjoyed it. Anyone else been to the movies lately? Brenda...See MoreHave you watched any good movies?
Comments (35)I love Netflix too! I think it's one of the most well run companies on the 'net, and their website is simple and easy to navigate. Be sure to check out the free movies you can watch instantly on your computer. You can stop and go back to them later. It's wonderful. I've enjoyed these recently (some are instant). Comments (15)I took DH to see that movie in the theaters when it came out. I think I earned myself a free pass to pick out movies the rest of our lives. We loved it. I picked up the video for $2 as a stocking stuffer a couple of years ago but we still don't have the DVD....See MoreSaw a Good Movie
Comments (14)Not a Sci-Fi person but we just got back from seeing "Footloose". I really liked it, they kept true to the original story line and I enjoyed all the people they chose as characters. The guy who played Willard (Ren's friend) looks so much like some other actor (who could have been his father) but when the credits ran, his last name was Teller. Can't tell you who he reminds me of - I thought maybe the guy who played in Must Love Dogs and Serendipity. John C someone. Anyway Julianne Hough was really good - she looked like a young Jennifer Anniston. Her parents were played by Randy Quaid (or was it Dennis) and Andi McDowell. Loved the music as before. I will be humming it for the next few days!...See Moreeld6161
