Funny you should mention it I was just looking at the imdb on it and the spoiler I saw it a long time ago and liked it. I think I'll tape it.

Julie my friend was telling me on the Final Destination 3 DVD you can pick who dies or something like that. I haven't seen the third one yet, but I liked the first two. I watched Evil Dead again saturday night. That's a classic. The next movie I am awaiting to come to the theater is Spider-Man 3. I have seen one preview and it looked good. I'm glad that Sam Raimi was picked as the director. He has stuck close to the original story line. Which is something a lot of directors don't usually do. Also Bruce Campbell might have a more promonent role in this one as a villian. Since I'm on film adaptations I always thought it would be cool if the Dragonlance Chronicals (War of the Lance) were made into movies. Of course if it was me I would do 9 movies with the Meeting of the Sextet leading up to the War of the Lance. That would be asking a lot though, so I would settle for The Chronicals. oH someone could do The Legand of Huma, or just about any of the great DL books. Any other Dragonlance fans out there? Tim

Marlene - I saw a couple of clips of "The Hoff" in J&H and yes, he was very good! Constantine Margoulis of American Idol fame will be playing the lead in the production I'm seeing. I'm curious about Book of Mormon! I know nothing about it, but the woman who sold me the package of tickets that I bought told me that by subscribing, I would be among those to get first dibs on BoM tickets, and that I absolutely should not hesitate when I receive the phone call that they've gone on sale. I've seen a few plays in London: The Importance of Being Earnest (starring Patricia Routledge), We Will Rock You (weird, but the music was great), and a production by The Reduced Shakespeare Company which was absolutely hilarious. I'm hoping Mom and I have the opportunity to see a show when we're back in the UK next year.

Tim and anyone interested in plagues and pestilences I have a very interesting book The Scourging Angel: The Black Death in the British Isles by Benedict Gummer. This is not a book about what caused the plague but instead concentrates on the spread of the disease. The author must have studied thousands of ancient records from church archives, town and county courts and even lesser manorial roles which have enabled him to track the plague as it made its way through Europe and up the British Isles. Amazing to think that a country at the height of medieval prosperity could be so devastated within a couple of years probably losing almost half the population and changing the economy and way of life for virtually everyone. The author argues that the breakdown of the feudal system, church corruption, 'peasant power' etc would have happened anyway, but that the Black Death probably speeded it up. I really liked this movie too, especially the first part where he was lost. It was a bit intense and scary too, considering the situation he was in. The second part of the movie I didn't enjoy as much, thought it dragged a bit and it seemed that the resolution took a while to happen. An amazing story, though!

Oh goodness! On for less than 10 minutes, and I just keep cracking up. This is one good, good movie.

One of my all time favorite movies! Don't own it, but one of these days I'll see a good deal on it on DVD.

I set the recorder but the feed from the satellite must have been bad there would be a picture then black etc etc etc. Couldn't watch any of it. Maybe next time!!

Oh man, that's the pits. I would have hooked up an antenae for this one. It was so good! Sorry you missed it. I don't doubt it'll be available on satelite again soon.

Just finished watching it. I enjoy that type of movie. It was very good. I'd not heard of it before.

I took DH to see that movie in the theaters when it came out. I think I earned myself a free pass to pick out movies the rest of our lives. We loved it. I picked up the video for $2 as a stocking stuffer a couple of years ago but we still don't have the DVD.

We watched the movie the first time, shortly after DGS came to live with us. He was mostly non-verbal but saw a lot of himself and his circumstances in the movie. His mother was a lot like that mother, abandoning her kid.
