Congrats on the new house. Great beginning. Some changes to consider:

Remove the two short walls between servery/pantry and kitchen and match the cabinets to the kitchen cabinets -- your servery/pantry will work better for its intended use not considering it a separate room.

Then move the fridge/freezer to where the ovens are now shown. Put the right side of the ovens against the back wall of the extended row of the shallow floor to ceiling cabinets of the servery/pantry.

Once you move the ovens and fridge, for symmetry sake, have the countertops (between the sink/dishwasher and breakfast nook on the exterior wall and between the ovens and breakfast nook on the interior wall both end at the same length, directly across from each other and have those base cabinets/countertops not extend beyond the end of the island.

By moving the ovens to the interior wall back of the powder room and steps, you make room for side by side ovens if you prefer that configuration to have all ovens eye level. Moving the fridge/freezer protects your kitchen triangle.

If you believe you need a pantry closer to the breakfast nook, consider adding matching corner cabinets in the breakfast nook since their lower cabinets with solid doors could be a good place to store cereal boxes and/or other boxes or containers of items such as cracker/cookie and chips and any other snacks (and plastic containers and canisters in which they're stored) that usually take up a lot of room in a pantry but do not actually need "food prep", saving your servery/pantry cabinets for items that do need food prep and should be close to where that is done.

The powder room access and, even more so, two sets of steps "dn" seems awkward. Perhaps the pros here at Houzz could help you with that if you post your floor plan.

@suezbell - unfortunately this is a developer new build so the customization you noted isn’t possible. You raise some good points re the pantry and I’ll see with the builder design centre what’s possible. The powder room is oddly positioned but doesn’t bother me too much. The further DN stairs go to a finished basement.

@wdcruise- thanks for the suggestions, I’ll take a look. I think you meant option 1 - built in single oven and built in single microwave?

I'd put the MW on a shelf beside the fridge, since most MW'd items come from the fridge. It will be easy to replace when it inevitably malfunctions.

Do you have the option to flip the fridge location? That way the island is not such a barrier between the fridge and sink.

If it's an option, a peninsula might be a better choice:

@shannon_wi - we use the microwave often enough to not want it inside a pantry. However the shelf may be the way to go with a double oven, likely next to the fridge.

@mama goose - good point re the fridge, will give that some consideration. As for the peninsula, that is the builder’s original design but we really wanted an island in the middle of the kitchen and the builder will be deleting the peninsula.

It appears some of you misinterpreted my question as "moving" to/from the built-in oven. Instead the question is more about what type of built-in configuration to get: double oven with a shelf microwave, single oven with a separate built in microwave or a combo oven/microwave.

Unless you have children who are trusted to use the micro, or you are very short, I think this height would work well. This is a KitchenAid oven and Panasonic micro as a built-in unit.

What is the kitchen aid model #, looks clean but I’m afraid we will lose valuable oven space vs what we have right now (6.3 cu. ft.). What’s the Panasonic MW capacity?

I don't have any of that information.

You plan to have a range? And you need double ovens in addition to that range oven? I would do a microwave + oven combination like @decoenthusiaste pictured. If not that, and you want double wall ovens, then I'd put the mw on a shelf.

I have no problem with builtin microwaves. I currently have a 24" Thermador MCES (now discontinued) and it handles the big holiday turkeys and hams just fine; convecting away for hours. (Note:turkey and ham not cooked at the same time, lol.)

No I currently have a range and OTR microwave. The new home will have a cooktop and a built in oven.

I think we will go ahead with a microwave shelf as some have suggested here. Need to work with the builder to ensure it isn’t an eyesore and I’m thinking I’ll have it placed right next to the fridge or possibly next to the built in oven.
