Is Fighting with your spouse liberating?
Comments (33)Last year when we were DIYing our kitchen(still in progress, but this was back during the nitty gritty cooking on a hot plate in the box-filled DR and washing dishes in the laundry tub stage,) DH and I were fighting constantly. Anger was constantly boiling over. I sat at my cousin's house in tears wondering if my marriage was worth it. And she said to me, "Tell me what it is that you love about him." What?! He's a great big jerk! again, "Tell me what it is that you love about him." He's smart & funny, he's sweet & well meaning, he's a great father and loves our kids, he puts up with my sh!t, the list goes on and on. OK, so he's not a great big jerk and I need to work on my reaction to things. So this is what worked for me. Not the silent treatment. Not revenge. Not blowing through a wad of money. Sex. Yep, I went there. I decided that angry or not, tired or not, we'd have sex at least once every 36 hours. All arguing stopped. Not right away, but it did stop. DH asked if I was trying to kill him and I told him I was reconnecting. And I was. Sometimes it was just going through the motions and that was ok. I became less angry and he was happy as a clam. He stopped needing to be right and I stopped caring if I wasn't. Obviously, this wouldn't work to repair a truly broken marriage and YMMV, but it certainly can't hurt a marriage going through a bad patch....See MoreHave you watched any good movies?
Comments (35)I love Netflix too! I think it's one of the most well run companies on the 'net, and their website is simple and easy to navigate. Be sure to check out the free movies you can watch instantly on your computer. You can stop and go back to them later. It's wonderful. I've enjoyed these recently (some are instant). Comments (72)Well i dont know as to how many i shud be posting...but ours was an arrange marriage and have been married for 3 yrs. I have really tried to change him by talking to him but there r things that makes life difficult. His eating habbits are our of control. He is too lazy to excercise or walk. He is so moody that i wil never come to know wht he really wants from me or from life. His life is just office and laptop. Rest he is least bothered. I have made a different routine fro myself so that i dont frustrate my self and him. On weekends we will definately talk something that wil upset him so much that both the days there will be a dead silence in the house. He is affetced a lot by the fact that I and his parenst dont get along so well. He is too logical and wants me to always talk with a reason. I shud be talking to him in a certain manner that wud please him and if i dont then he is upset. I am always worried abt his health. His laziness and boringness botheres me a lot. He loves to keep silent and only talk when he has to. He wants me to dress uo in a certain manner where nothing shud be visible. I get grossed out by a lot of his habbits . Well i guess i can go on forever. Amazingly enuf i guess I wil go on like this.Coz i know he is not the type to change for me .Still never concedered separation ...wondering shud i ....See MoreA little behind in movie watching, but I've seen a few good ones
Comments (19)Here are some I've watched recently: Enchanted - a very cute movie Atonement - I enjoyed it, watched it with 3 other people and they all thought it was too slow Bee Movie - cute Into the Wild - excellent The Brave One - different than what I was expecting from watching the trailer, but it was very good Dan in Real Life - very good! Watched it on the plane and now wishing I had watched it on a big screen Death at a Funeral - British comedy, hilarious!! Becoming Jane - very nice, a chick flick I guess Feast of Love - a bit slow moving but good, Morgan Freeman is in it and I always like him Rendition - pretty good We Own the Night - good, a bit of violence Martian Child - very sweet No Reservations - chick flick, sweet though, rated G I believe...See Moreeld6161
