Would someone please tell me how to post a link to another thread
Comments (5)Stephanie, Keep this page open and "Post a follow-up" to practice. Open another browser window (or tab). Open the web page to the thread or forum you want to link. Click on the url (that http://www.blahblah.com) and it will highlight. Right-click to copy. Come back to the window where you are going to post. In the "optional link URL" box in the posting, right-click and paste that URL. Type a name in the "name of the link" box named accordingly. Hit "Preview Message" to test your link. You can right-click on the URL you've linked to "open in a new window" to see if it works. If it works, you're ready to "Submit Message" Hope this helps -- I used to run an IT department, but it's been awhile since I've written technical documentation! Cameron...See MoreHelp Please! Comments (4)Hi Cindy! I don't anything beats a wooden rolling pin. I like the french ones as well, they're simplicity in motion. Since you're making pies, a white marble one might be nice for keeping your pastry cold, and it would go with your kitchen. The thing about those is that they're heavy, which you could look at as doing some of the work for you, OR too heavy to handle. (I guess it depends on where you are in your life at the moment!) Rolling pins are a very personal choice, aren't they?...See MoreHelp with link posting please
Comments (12)Scott, no, you did not miss seeing the link URL box and name box. For some inexplicable reason, they do not show up at all when you first post a new thread. You can get to them by hitting "Preview Message" at the bottom of your original posting. When you do that, the little box below the preview, where you can make changes to your posting, has the URL and Name boxes. I have no idea why they do it this way, but they do at Garden Web! So just remember to preview your topic thread and add your link on the preview page. I have gotten good at the HTML code for putting clickable links in my message, but I have never yet gotten the photos to show right in the thread. Lets see if I can tonight....See MoreCan someone please link me to plllog's kitchen?
Comments (10)Sorry. :) Big box of grout, still. Still no finished pictures, though there were some in the testing of the new FKB. Yes, "her". Is there anything in particular you want to see? I have more photos than are online. This is the one I usually use. The hood currently needs polishing (big job) because of workman handprints, so doesn't look as fine at the moment. :) Here's more of a view of the kitchen--and clutter. It was taken to show some feature of the island rather than as a beauty shot: I also have the tile tour, which shows all of the tiles, rather than the kitchen proper. It's very hard to capture the colors without professional lighting, so I tried to get as much as possible in pure daylight--the more saturated ones in the middle are pretty close to the real thing. The hood photo has the u/c's and hood halogens on, so there's a yellow wash, but the colors are pretty true on my screen, nonetheless. The daylight tile tour is a bit washed out. Thanks for asking! I'm happy to answer any questions....See More- 6 years ago
