Absolutely - I LOVE my hoes although my eyes and co-ordination are a bit dodgy with a long-handled job. I keep mine sharp so one concentration fail between the leeks..........disaster. However, I have a little onion hoe, a neat handtool which slices through those annoying weeds. For sure, you might have to have another go-round in a couple of weeks but you are right, a good hoe makes short work of hundreds of annoying plants in hard to reach places. A circle or hoop hoe is a bit more controlled than a draw hoe (in my hands, a dutch hoe is a lethal weapon) but a hoe or a daisy grubber will be practically welded to my hand between now and October.

So, I replaced the seat switch and nothing changed. I then disconnected the battery and removed the fuel shut-off solenoid from the bottom of the carburetor. I used the battery to test the switch and the plunger drew in when 12v was applied. However, the plunger was very sluggish retracting. I tried to remove the plunger to clean it with carb cleaner but this model of the Kohler fuel shut-off solenoid does not allow you to disassemble it and clean the plunger. I cleaned it as much as I could and re-installed it, and the engine still died just after ignition was successful. Next I looked on line for a new fuel-shut-off solenoid and they are going for $60 or more plus shipping or local State sales tax. After wasting money on the seat switch (my fault, I know) I thought that I would check to seeif the fuel shut-off was really the culprit. Therefore, I removed it and cut off the plunger rod, reinstalled it with Never-Seez on the threads, and did not attach the positive wire to it. The tractor started with no problem and remained running. Now I have a few questions for Bill and Tom. Can I just leave this fuel shut-off disabled? If so, do I need to install a manual fuel shut-off on the fuel line or is the float in the carb sufficient to stop fuel from flowing when the engine is off? I also want to mention a few other things. This engine has backfired for two years since it was new, so the plunger solenoid must have been defective from new. This seems like a bad design to me, that is, with a plunger like that at the bottom of the carb bowl with electric current running to it. Second (and maybe not related) the spark plug was completely black, unusually carbon-ed up, as though fuel was somehow getting in the oil or something. Any ideas as to why the plug was fouled up with black soot so much? I have to admit, that was the first time I changed the plug since it was new almost 2 years ago.

My Kude60 Kitchen Aid arrived today! OMG... I know I could just be doing a self fulfilling prophecy thing here but let me tell you - The drawers are totally gliding, like they're on Ice, no side to side shuffle to get them out! And they do the up and down thing like an elevator with the push of a button. Am I too happy to see my Bosch leaving? I can't remember, I didn't even wave as the technician strapped it like Hannibal Lector to the dolly and wheeled it out! Me and the KUDE60 are going to be best friends...I can just feel it. My knowledge of her telling him to do this is from her reaction to it. the whole story: My brother and I were playing outside, he was like 3 times my size, i was pretty small as a child, and he was kinda husky. we were throwing the baseball and he turned his head to look at a passing car, as I did, but I didn't see him look. So when my attention went back to the game, i threw the ball and it hit his arm. He yelled at me and ran inside. I knew I was in for it, so I crawled onto the swing set to get high enough up so he couldn't do anything. He came out and told me to get down because she had told him to hit me back. I said no, so he scratched my back with the mit, i was hanging onto the top bar. SM came to the door and called us in for lunch. After lunch my brother went into the living room. We had a rule that we were supposed to clean our area of the table when we got done, so i knelt down to get a paper towel from below the sink. When I knelt down, everything went blurry and I fell backward. When I looked up, he was looking at her standing in the doorway with a look like kids have as if to say "ok i did it, mom." she looked down at me, turned and walked away. Other things to back up what she would do are: She always defended her son. Once he was chasing me with a piece of water hose trying to knock me off of a bike, I jumped off, ran in to my dad and started telling him my brother was trying to hit me. I said I had dropped the bike at the back door to come in. Brother followed and told them i had jumped off the bike and just left it laying without putting the kickstand up. They asked if I had and i said yes but that he was trying to hit me off the bike, i had to get away. She paddled me, not him. Once, my brother had me by the neck in the floor of his room and was choking me cause I touched the Nintendo, which we were supposed to share. I reached for the control and he grabbed me by the head and pulled me back, got on top of me and was choking me. SM passed by the room looked in for a moment, me looking up at her, then walked away. My sister then came looking for me and saw what was going on and screamed, she was only about 3 though. That is when SM intervened. A lot of defending my brother. He would hit me, he was a rough boy. I would tell, she would call me a tattle tale and paddle me. So i told my mom, my mom talked to my dad and it was said that if she wouldn't defend me then i would take care of myself. He hit me so i hit him back the next time defending myself and she paddled me for hitting. As I said, he was about 3 of me though. When I was roughly 4, I started a new pre-school, being new, I was kinda shy and stuff still. She called my pre-school when I was 4 and told them I had lice. I didn't, the school nurse checked me. The director of the school told us she had received a call from her.
