A wonderful movie.

Monday afternoon, I made a "date" with my daughter who lives downstairs to watch a movie and have some wine and snacks. With no movie in mind, we scrolled around and found "Saving Mr. Banks" a really well done and delightful story. It chronicles how Walt Disney pursued Pamela Lyndon Travers (the author of Mary Poppins) to allow him to make her book into a Disney movie. Apparently he had promised his daughters that one day he would make their favourite book into a movie. Ms. Travers was less than enthusiastic about the idea. Emma Thompson plays PL Travers and Tom Hanks is Walt Disney. We both enjoyed it so much; no swearing, no violence, nothing dark at all, just a feel good movie but not at all corny or contrived. We've both been talking about it for the last couple of days. Highly recommended!
