Thank you mdln for replying. I wish my link for store's sample kitchen above would work as it is gone. The kitchen designer had a brand new large sample door made for me and another client but would not leave it here for me to really analyze. The soft White was a little whiter than the Home Depot's Inner Most door sample (Divinity Classic) that I had here that I felt was too yellow in my lighting and with my tiles despite really liking it in a kitchen reveal on this forum. The Polar White (think the sample door was much older) with the 3,000K LED bulbs I was using did not look as nice with my tiles as the soft white in this lighting and actually had a gray look which surprised me. So maybe it is the lighting that I plan to use as I like white that is not so yellow. The Soft White was slightly darker and creamier than my bedroom set that I love so much that is Durham Maple with a rubbed out sand white finish. I had my heart set on the Polar but I think it does not go with my tiles and amazingly the soft white did in the light I plan to use as I only have one LED bulb in this light spectrum. I just do not envision my kitchen being too yellow but I don't want stark white either despite how wonderful it looks with the right counter and accessories in the kitchen of others as that did not look right with my tiles either. I already bought the kitchen floor tiles which I know I should have bought after the cabinets. Every kitchen that I see in Polar White or Soft White on this forum I have fallen in love with so maybe when all the doors are either white, it just looks white. The Eggshell is too warm for me.

After much research, I got what I wanted at amazon.com. But you have to know what you want. The recommendation above for 3500 kelvins is a good one for the atmosphere I like and I even dialed it down to 3000 kelvins for several fixtures. These are soft white (which has a soft yellow but not the really yellow warm white). My contractor who changed my old cans with these LEDs said they only came in daylight but he was wrong. Daylight is too sterile in the comfy rooms at night...living room, dining room, bedroom and even my hallways. I switched everything out today and it's so much better. Now everything is in soft white but bright enough. I'm replacing all the warm bulbs (were too yellow) in the lamps to soft white. Replacing the dimming candelabras in my chandelier with soft (was warm). Brightens things up but doesn't look like an operating room. I'm leaving the bathrooms in daylight - they have no natural light - and have the lights on dimmers which is nice at night even though they cast no yellow at all. Besides the consideration for ambience and eyesight comfort more pleasing with soft white in my opinion, the daylight bulbs are kind of creepy at night. Every light shouldn't be a reading light brightness imho. I'd recommend a supplemental reading light that is different than your atmosphere, general lighting. It's not to be on the same time the other lights are on when entertaining for example. And finally, the paint colors I have look nice in the soft white - and better than if they were in the deeper yellow warm light....and better atmosphere/ambience compared to daylight or brighter bulbs.

Help! We are re-doing our kitchen and I need to choose a cabinet color for my maple cabinets. Our home is the Tuscan style from the early 2000’s, so I do want to go with a warmer color. My walls are SW divine white. I like a bit of a darker beige or cream than Divine white to offset the lighter LRV of 72. Has anyone tried SW Natural Linen, BM Natural linen, BM Clay Beige, BM White Sand for cabinets? Also was thinking of Accessible Beige, but afraid it will be too gray. My kitchen is north facing, with minimal light. Our floors are noche travertine. We are going with a lighter granite or quartz and maybe Cle’ tiles for backsplash.

I think you need to decide what wall color you are choosing and I for one do not like colored trim it then becomes a big issue when changing wall color. I do not see a picture . IMO you figure out wall colr then trim color and if this is anew build then at least wait until you are at lock up stage before choosing any wall color. You can mix warm and cool togtehr but the biggest items are what drives the smaller choices . So your flooring is the first driver . The more info you post about your choices the more help you will get Please just add pics to this post do not start another .
