@jupidupi oh thats an interesting idea! I haven't thought about that. I like that idea, but since I'll be living alone I don't really need a big dining room table. But I do like that because it makes the space seem bigger and makes sense. Thanks for the idea!

That's quite a livable layout for a studio. My only thought was that I would buy an attractive shoji screen divider to provide more privacy to the bedroom but still let in light. There's a nice selection of them on Amazon and many are well under $100:

Ali- this is challenging space as you no doubt know. I have some questions. Do you have a lot of clothes and shoes? Do you need a spot to do your hair and make up? Do you cook or order in? And/or eat out? You can’t get a very big bed in here anywhere. The “bedroom” might be best as closet! Put a daybed in living room with small chair. You can put a bistro table on kitchen end with two bistro chairs. A console and TV would fit on wall with slider door. So depending on your needs we can go further. I tried to do scale drawing but the numbers on this drawing you posted don’t work. You need more accurate measurements for sure.

Sorry, but sofa beds are notorious for being uncomfortable.

Yes! If there is such a thing as a comfortable sleeper sofa, I really do want to know about it. My adult son could use one, but I can’t recommend.

Another option for a day bed would be a trundle. I’ve had one and can highly recommend as your "sofa.” You can choose to have a trundle if you want the option for a guest. Or, at least in the past, you could choose drawer or shelves with baskets in place of the trundle. We started ours as a bed for our young son. Eventually, it was moved to a guest room that functioned like a den with desk and tv...so probably functioned like a studio. We had enough room to turn the lower trundle so it was perpendicular to the bed, and about half under, forming an “L.” Totally comfortable as seating and as beds. Had to let it go when I was downsizing...but would now like to have it back!!!

Playing with gathering some ideas for you.

I have this sofa bed in the queen size and find it very comfortable. As a sofa, it needs a few pillows to be more cozy. As a bed, it's firm with good support. The ottomans make it not only nice for sitting, but can sort of double as tables if I put a board or tray on top. It's made out of that new kind of foam, like a lot of the new mattresses that arrive compacted and take shape over a few hours (great for getting through my narrow hallway.) It has no legs so is a bit low, but other than that, it's perfect.
