Need help with tiny studio apartment furniture layout

I have a tiny studio. You walk into a foyer kitchen and then it opens up into living/bedroom area.

I drew the floor plan to my best ability and I have no idea what dimensions are and/or my square footage. This is what I have now but my main problem is that I sometimes feel closed in as soon as I come into the door or that the bed can be seen as soon as you walk in. It feel somewhat exposed especially since front door is in line with windows that face another building. Overall, it doesn't feel cohesive.

I have queen size bed, sleeper's sofa, dresser, middle sized nightstand (use it as vanity) , desk, coffee table(rectangular) , middle size chair and a small round accent table plus mini nightstands. I also purchased bookshelf and a kitchen island pretty large size from ikea.

One of the reasons I picked this studio was because of the "open" floor plan but now regret it as it doesn't feel cozy enough.

Please help!
