Comments (46)I am sorry to confuse you. But, as I stated...I thought it was the one that a friend took while we were at Arlington attending a funeral. I had seen Sister's picture and thought it was mine. I had posted my picture here several months or longer ago, and the picture was much older. Sorry to confuse you, but hope this clears things. My post was a bit long, as I do not take kindly to someone calling me a liar as "Sister" did. Her picture was taken from a different location. And...to end this.....I do not take pictures from the internet (do not use Facebook either) except for family, friends pictures that they send to me. So, hopefully this satisfies everyone. " Oftentimes keys are held when opening a front door. When doing so with right-side hinges, a righty needs to stand a bit to the left of the door's left edge to hold the key straight out. If there's a perpendicular wall immediately to the left of the door or otherwise no space to stand a bit to the side, that can't be done and left hinge-right side opening hardware would be easier in use. One of my kid's houses has just that arrangement, a perpendicular wall right at the edge of the door frame and so left hinges and right hardware. My two current places and ones I've owned before all had right hinge/left hardware arrangements. By my quick count, about 2/3rds of the doors pictured, where the hardware is clearly visible, were right hinge and left hardware ones. Yes, I am weird...but I have always admired the purple thistles I have seen growing along the road sides. I was thrilled to find one growing behind my barn, and it is huge!

6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoTurned wood project. Our assignment was to make a honey dipper. That is mine on the left and the one on the right is one I bought from a fellow wood turner (much more skilled than I) a couple of years ago. I have a couple of other pieces she has done. She has a real talent. I'm just a Tinkerer.
