How to fill the space between the ground and foundation?
Comments (8)More than likely the earwigs are getting in through an access in the exterior framed wall. There typically is an air space between the brick veneer and the exterior house wall. They are not getting in by way of the foundation, you need to find out where they are entering, but unfortunately, for a brick veneer wall system to have a correct install, there are weep holes at the starter course of the brick veneer that you dont want to plug up. You might end up having to pull up base board in the inside where they are suspect of entering and caulk alog the base of the sill plate. If it's an older home, there was probably no barrier or sealant layed down between the sill plate and foundation, (all this if if on a slab). If on a crawl space, they could be coming up from underneath the space through the framing....See MoreHow to fill space between sliding doors and wall

You can't see that telltale red line in the side view photo? :-) OP: Consider putting tiles around the outside, in a border around the doorway. They look like they have a clean edge, so if the thickness matches the amount that the tile sticks out past the doorway, then that would work. If the tiles only stick out on one side, well, then the tiler needs to come back and do a redo. Remove and recut the tiles. I would tile the ceiling in the shower....See MoreHow to fill gap between backsplash and upper cabinets
Comments (4)Pretty! With the classic oak cabs, you can always stain a strip of molding to (almost) match and stick it up. Oak is one of the easier woods to get trim for in all kinds of profiles. You might not need anything though, depending on how high the cabinets are and if there is seating nearby....See MoreDenice Shuty
