Comments (3)That really leaves you with the current arrangement, replacing the grey chair by the front window with kid stuff and leaving the floating living space opposite the TV. I'd really look into rerouting cable so the TV can be where the large art piece is. It's not usually very expensive and will be necessary in order to keep your walkway from running right in front of the tv....See MoreHelp! 8+yr question about rug/window treatment for adjoining room
Comments (4)Jute or sisal is fine. So are woven shades under panels But you have WAY too much visual clutter in the spaces. Both of them. Prune,,,,,,,,,lose the shelves over sideboard for some nicely sized ART. the piano end would benefit from some visual weight in more comfortable upholstered chairs, with arms Add the rug, a table and lamp between the chairs, lose the candles on the piano. box clutter on the floor. Try a prune. The space will feel better.......larger. Also ore balanced. Nature is great..........plant overkill less so. One plant corner. .......healthy....See MoreColonial living room design/layout help please. 2 windows and 4 door
Comments (4)Hi. I've reproduced your room in a 3D build to help you visualize in a better way. To maintain a foot flow I have centered the sofa facing each other. You can add one or more swivel chairs which you can tuck away or corner them when not in use. Mounted tv on a wooden panel opposite the fireplace. This way it serves as a family room as well as an entertainment room. Perfect for a winter evening when it's too chilly to leave the fireplace but also wouldn't miss your favorite show. If you can get rid of the piano, you can place two chairs and a bookshelf and create a little reading space. Let me know if you would want me to work on more layouts. Always happy to help!...See MoreRelated Professionals
