The bed should be on the opposite side where the TV is; it's a longer expanse and bedside tables won't interfere when you put curtains on windows. A patterned carpet would also help to anchor the bed.

Embrace it! I wish my master were bigger and had more layout options. Night stands and a more substantial dresser will fill it in a bit.

Yes - enjoy the space! My master is relatively small. My sister has a large master with a fireplace and she has a couple of really nice chairs w a rug by the fireplace. It’s like a reading nook - very nice and great to relax at end of the day.

Rug under bed, generously sized. Two chairs to cozy by the fireplace. Agree with other suggestions. Nightstands, change wall.

What an awesome space!! If it were mine - I’d find some wide night stands. I would also create a little reading nook by the cluster of windows by the fireplace. Maybe a chaise lounge or comfy chair and ottoman with a side table for a lamp and books.

Wherever you put the bed I think a huge rug to anchor the bed and nightstands and give a warm spot for bare feet in the morning.

One thing I've learned from the pros and other talented decorators on this forum over the 15 years I've been visiting is that scale matters a lot. When you have a room the size of your master bedroom, you need some substantial furniture (and art, etc.) to make the design work.

This was a very important lesson for me to learn, as my house before I was married was a very small bungalow. Everything I brought from my previous home looked silly and dwarfed in the home my husband and I moved into. My art looked like postage stamps tacked to the walls. I didn't know how to decorate in large spaces because I had never done so before, and I always preferred modest, simple furniture and art so it look me years to embrace the larger spaces. But once I did, things started looking a lot better.

I've found places to use some of the sentimental items I couldn't part with (in bathrooms, kids' bedrooms, small guest room, as part of gallery walls), but some things just don't work in the larger spaces. Your bed, though very pretty, is probably one of those things. We have a California King in our large-ish master bedroom and it looks great and fits the scale of the room. Find some large art you love too. I'm sure the pros will have better advice, but just wanted to chime in as I went through that same frustrating phase you are in now. Good luck!

I wonder... if you could also find a spot for a little chest or cabinet with a keurig or something similar?

If this were my home, I would sleep in a smaller room and use the bigger room for a living area or a studio, or if I had a pack of kids, they might go in there.
