Master Bedroom lighting-what to do to get enough light
Comments (2)Our Master has only one smallish West-facing window and is naturally dimly illuminated. We have 2 switched bedside lamps and 2 dimmed sconces with no ceiling fixtures whatsoever and find it quite sufficient. I work with the guide of 1W per sq ft as starters and then think about where I want the light to be....See MoreWhat to do - only 1-nightstand in master bedroom
Comments (18)Thought someone might like to know that those who like the very upscale and modern look of Baker furniture designers like Barbara Barry , Thos. Pheasant, and Bill Scofield but don't like the 5-7,000 dollar price tags are checking out the repros from Brighton Furniture. Bedroom nightstands are included. Absolutely dead on in every way and how they can do it without a single challenge from Baker is beyond me! I own a mirror from them and have spoken to the owner by phone to ask about their offerings. Remarkable products at remarkable prices and as close as you can get to the genuine articles in every way but price. This is not an ad for this company in any sense of the word, but is definitely a very well kept designer secret....See MoreBedroom floor has a dip in it under our bed - what do I do?

I'm sure the hardware store will sell a cheap level. Check both the bed frame and the mattress. It's not uncommon for mattresses to develop sags in the middle, which causes both sleepers to roll into the middle. If the bed is not level, you'd expect one sleeper to end up in the other's side of the bed....See MoreWhat to do with master bedroom?
Comments (13)^^^ That’s what I’d do. Find bedding or a rug you love and use it as the base to work from. Patterns and colors are becoming popular again, so there are lots of options out there. Don’t be afraid to mix them. What are some colors you like? How is the rest of your house decorated? Is all furniture staying? I love this sort of moody, sagey-mossy green with grays, especially in low-light rooms, but I don’t know if it’s a look you like. It’s got a nice mix of modern with traditional and sophisticated.
