Me, too! I've been looking at the Tea for Two, but I want a tile flange and I really need a tub that's 60"long x 30" wide, (not 32") and prefer 14"+ water depth (at least 12") and cast iron. I would love any suggestions people have in addition to the suggestions above, which didn't meet by specs for depth or are over-mount drop-ins (or similar). I would also like to comment on the above recommendations so people don't order the wrong thing. Most clawfoot tubs, including the ones mentioned above such as the Cheviot or Sunrise Specialty, have a water depth that is around 11" at most. They are comfortable, but not deep. The Cheviot alcove tub is an over-mount drop-in with a water depth of under 11". It would have a calk line around a drop off on the deck. Oh, heck no! The Toto is an over-mount drop-in also. Dang! The Waterworks Minna sounds promising, and it has an apron, but what's with that moulded raised ridge at the top? It makes it look like a top-mount drop-in and have similar problems. I guess you wouldn't need calking, but you'd have that ridge water could get over and a lump under your head if you lean back. Has anyone installed one and has pictures? I'd love to be proved wrong on this one in spite of the price! It could be the perfect tub for me if it weren't for that top detail.

Skuba, there are other options in smaller tubs. Home Depot carries the ones I am going to talk about. First there is the one mentioned above, the Bootz Honolulu. It is only $139. It is 46.5" long, 27" wide, and 15 inches high. Porcelain over steel construction. For more room and presumably better quality, there is the Kohler Seaforth that is 54" long, 30.25" wide and 14" high. That extra six inches gives you your toilet wall and extra room. This tub is sold for $1148 in white. It is cast iron and porcelain. There is also the Kohler Greek soaker tub that is 48" x 32" in Acrylic. I think it is too big in the 32" dimension for your current layout. It is drop-in, so needs a structure and tile work around it. I wonder if it would fit in the alcove where your toilet is scheduled to go. Then the toilet could have a half-wall separating it from the vanity, over where the other end of the tub was going to be. I am currently planning for a bath remodel in the only full bathroom in our house. I am toying with the idea of putting a tiny tub in my half-bath before that construction. It would give us a place to shower during the renovation (going down to the studs or further, there is a lot of water damage to be repaired in the big bath and we won't have a shower while the work is being done). The half bath is only 69" x 52", so fitting a bathtub in there will be a miracle. The reason I am considering it is that the big bath will have a wheelchair accessible shower because I will need one in the future. I had considered just making the half bath into a wet room - a shower with a toilet and washbasin in it - but there is no way to maneuver a wheelchair into that room, so the shower has to be in the big bath. So if I can fit a tub in the half bath, parents could still bathe kids there. Lascatx mentioned the one long sink with two faucets. I am planning to do that in our big bath. DH insists that we have the ability to both get ready for the day at the same time. My solution is the get the Kohler Brockway Utility sink in the 36" length with two faucets. I will either set it into an old 42" dresser I just bought for $125 (with a 6" deep ledge running the whole length behind the sink to provide more counter space) or a 42" to 48" vanity base with drawers. Jas-space, I really don't know! Fyi, I don't particularly love the Sunrise tub and wish we had gone with the Porcher (I had sinks on my mind when I wrote "Porcher Sink" for the link above!) as it would have been better quality. As I said above, we just went with the tub that could reach us sooner so as to avoid delays. Actually, on the subject of wishes, I wish we had just built a walk-in shower and ditched the tub altogether!! Back to the thread, I think both tubs would work in the tight space mentioned... Amina

enduring - yes we will have an access panel because we will have an air bathtub (at least that is the current plan). shanghaimom - Yes, DH has seen plenty of pictures of nice handheld showerheads, and we actually just purchased one for our masterbath. But he still doesn't like them and this bathroom will have marble walls (master is white subway) and I think he doesn't want anything hanging in front of the marble. As for the hose length. I was looking at Newport Brass last night and you can purchase the hose, handheld and mount type (deck, bar, holder) all separately. The hose length is the same no matter what mounting method - 59" which seems long enough to me....our shower/tub is only 60"x30" so i think we will be fine. So I take it, it can be done and there shouldn't be any issues???
