I'll TRY to post some pics of it. But the screen wire is window-screen wire. It's basically just a worm bin inside a larger sealed (except the air holes) bin to keep the BSF from occupying the same approximate space as my spouse. I'll take the bin outside...it's in the garage now...once a week or so and open the lid to both. A couple of other observations: If you do have BSF larva in significant numbers in a bin, moisture content will probably never need your help. The upper bedding will be MUCH dryer than the muck in the lower part of the bin. The BSF seem to generate moisture. As a matter of fact, I believe that EF require far less moisture content than commonly called for, (my bins rarely leak ANY moisture), but can tolerate a wide range of bed conditions. It seems to be pretty damned hard to kill em...IMHO. Everyone should put on some latex exam gloves, turn a bin upside-down on a table, sit down and dig in. Sort out the stuff and see what's happening in there. Lots of good info will come out of it. Where the cocoons are and aren't. How the worms congregate around what type of foodstuff. Be amazed how such a yucky place ain't all that bad. Wonder why the EF, and lots and lots of their cocoons all seem to be imbedded in the muckiest, wettest, least "desirable" parts of the bin...the areas bordering on, if not already anaerobic..not what we consider to be their favorite hang-outs, huh? Explore their little world. Believe what some worm gurus tell us....or your lying eyes. I'm into my bins all the time. (I put together 1000-worm bins on a regular basis.) I don't leave them alone for months at a time. I keep em in a pretty constant state of disturbance and have never, except for the once because of the heat in my car, had an evacuation. They NEVER leave the bins. During my past few days of segregating worms and cocoons into new bins from everything else in there, my overwhelming impression about the populations of the bins...worms, BSF larva, pillbugs, big bugs, little bugs, unidentifiable crawling alien life-forms, etc...is how well they all get along. It's a shame the creepy-crawly's inhabiting this little Earth-bin of ours can't do the same. Chuckiebtoo Now, if I can just get them trained to give themselves up at harvest time.....

I can totally see both sides to the drone debate. While I'd love to have (or have had during building!!) better aerial shots of our place, there is a difference in the drone vs. satellite. The drone can fly anywhere, including right over top of you while you're reminiscing in your back yard. I say this b/c it has happened to us twice in the last two weeks. That, I'm sorry, is an invasion of privacy. The next time it happens I will shoot it out of the air. I love target practice. :) I absolutely love aerial photography though, and good for you for being able to have a very unique way to keep those memories!!

Lisa, mine is definitely not true red either. It does remind me of your photos a lot. I can take some upclose photos of the foliage for you tonight if it would be helpful. I do believe they are very heavily mossed. Last year was the first year it bloomed and I was bombarded with work and missed a lot of the blooming but I did snap that photo of it. Right as it bloomed I decided to tie the canes to the arbor you see because it was just draped along the ground. I do vaguely remember them fading to a bit of a purple, though I don't have a photo of it. I think it will look much nicer this year. I do remember it blooming in clusters a bit. I will make sure to take photos of it this year. It's a wonderful rose, if yours is HM you will continue to enjoy it!

I really like that edge of Kaskel's Best Edge. Hope it passes that on to something you do........Isn't that New Tangerine TWIST? I loved the early color on mine. Color didn't hold up as well as I had hoped as the day wore on but it would have been unusual if it had...............I think the double form on Krakatoa Katie in your pictures is still very good. I didn't realize the base color was so gold. I was hoping for more yellow........I like your small flowered Everything Nice And Neat x seedling. Good round form with a nicely colored edge...............Maryl
