I loved the Amazon/Alexa commercial with Ellen DeGeneres--laugh out loud funny! My second favorite was the Turbo Tax. My least favorite: The two political ads--ugh!

And--what was with the half time entertainment? Guess I'm just getting old..........

Half-time...ugh!!!! One of my favorite ads was Bill Murray stealing "Phil"..Ad

Yes, I liked Bill Murray and Ellen, too. But nothing was awe-inspiring.

We tuned in for the last 7 minutes, so we only saw Bill Murray (loved it), a Tide Pods commercial (was it part of an ongoing story during the whole game?) and a commercial that included tons of other products, we thought it was a riot but have no idea what it was for!

I heard a radio interview with the fellow who bought the commercial spot for the UW School of Veterinary Medecine, now I have to find the commercial.

I thought the Jason Momoa commercial was really funny! I also liked Ellen's. The continuing Tide Pods guy was actually clever, with him being inserted into other ads throughout the evening. This is probably the first time I've watched the entire game - well I was playing on my phone and stopping to watch the commercials. Sadly there wasn't a whole lot that was laugh out loud funny. And nothing really touching - no sentimental favorite for me this year.

You are my people here. I loved the Bill Murray and thought the Alexa was pretty cute too. Otherwise, feh.

And yes, on the other thread I ranted about the halftime show and attributed it to being old. (not really. I still think it was trashy).

Yea. the half-time show - I really don't need cameras peeking up dancers or singers... - well, you get the picture.

We all thought the ads were underwhelming this year.

We liked the Jason Momoa one as well as the Sam Elliot/Doritos commercial. Thought that one was funny.

The story about Scout is truly heartwarming and the tribute paid to the medical staff deserved.

This year Canada was prevented from seeing the ads during the game, sounds like not much was missed. The CRTC clamped down this year to give Canadian ads the space. But they're all over the internet so not much was missed.

I liked the one for Cheetos, where the guy couldn't help anyone because his fingers were too messy with cheeto residue. "Can't touch this" by what his name played over it.

So many of the "over the top" commercials relied on celebrities for their interest, and I'm not interested. So yeah, meh.

ETA: oh, the Snickers one was good. I liked the ending ... "It's working already"!

Bloomberg's was a reminder of how low we've sunk as a country.

Loved the Doritoes Old Town Road commercial with Sam Elliot, Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X. Sam's dancing mustache was great.

The stealing Phil Bill Murray was good.

Liked the Can't touch this with MC Hammer cheetoes.

Raven, the doritos commercial with Lil Nas and Sam Elliott caught the attention of those of us at the neighbors watching the game. Sam's horse's response maybe as much as any of it. But I had missed that was Billy Ray Cyrus at the end until told.

I could really relate to the Cheetos fingers, having had those many times myself. One of my few junk food weaknesses. If they weren't so messy I'd buy them other than just very occasionally.

I heard on a radio program this morning that many are calling the half time show, the a$$time show, as we saw more behinds than anything else. Same for the pre-game show with Pitbull's dancers. Kudos to J Lo at 50 for that amazing body.

I loved the Alexa commercial with Ellen and Porsha, also Cheetos, Doritos and Bill Murray. Two that made me tear up were the Weather Tech with Scout and the Google with memories of man's late wife, which was inspired by a google employee's family member.

I just learned on the local news that the ad where the old man kept telling Google to remember things about his wife Loretta who had passed, was actually the grandfather of a person who works at Google. It was very real. It was a touching story. Loretta

Of course I have no idea if that's true. But it was discussed on channel 2 noon news.

I loved that "Loretta" ad as well, Raven and it was discussed on the Today show too - it is definitely real. So nice.

Since I’m from New England, the Kia ad hit home. We’ve been watching it online for a week and it’s been all over Facebook. Guess you have to be from this neck of the woods to appreciate. I also liked the Ellen ad and Google. Overall, not a great year.

I will say it was very different not having the Pats playing. Much less stressful!

Yeah they were pretty much meh. A couple were ok.

I did not like the political ads. I did love the Bill Murray Jeep ad, the Cheetos ad, the Jimmy Fallon Michelob Ultra ad, the Reese’s ad (I think) with the cliche phrases (have you been living under a rock, we’re you born yesterday, etc) - so funny), the Google Loretta ad (almost made me cry), Sam Elliot and the Doritos ad, and the Alexa ad. I didn’t much care for the Jason Momoa ad, thought it was sort of creepy. I did love the half time show.

Very short but loved the Kia ad with Josh Jacobs. Jacobs was briefly homeless while living with his dad. Drafted in the first round by the Oakland Raiders, Jacobs was a leading candidate for Rookie of the Year, smashing team records as running back.

Although technically it wasn't an ad, I also loved the "Take it home, kid" ad for the NFL, which had past NFL stars in a video that segued into live action of "the kid" bringing the football into the stadium and handing it to the head official to start the game.

Oh yes, I forgot about the Josh Jacobs ad! It was fairly early in the game. Great one too.
