I love this topic, Sarah! :) The Coke ones were surprisingly good, I agree! And so was that robot one, Jenny! (All by myself....or something like that...LOL) The commercials really started out funny, IMO, which is usually case, then they taper off. Bud Light - rock, paper, scissors - hilarious! BL - Mister Garcia teaching English class - another LOL BL - Ax murderer, Texas chainsaw dude - pretty funny Bud - Instead of high-fiving...slapping - LMAO Bud - Gorillas - LMAO (and the spotted dog one...awwww!) Sierra Mist - beard comb-over...LMAO! Sprint - Connectile Dysfunction Chrysler - replaced guy's old car (and wife) ("Oh, thank you, Chrysler.") LOL CareerBuilder.com - These were all hilarious, with office workers out in the jungle! Emerald Nuts (surprised there weren't as many as last year) - Robert Goulet But my #1 favorite has to be the Doritos, the 2nd ad to air after start of the game. Spicy, Cheesy, Crunchy, Bold....Smooth? (That last one reminded me of myself when she hit the side of the car, and a little *poof* of chips flies up.) LOL!!!!!!!) Brenda

I agree, Rene Fleming was the highlight of the show. She sang the National Anthem so beautifully. I was disappointed about the commercials during the game but the ones right after the end of the game were quite good. From what I understood, those that chose to air their ads right after the game ended saved $1.5 millions. As I mentioned a few days ago, my sister lives in Seattle and my brother lives in Denver. After the 1st quarter, the rest of our family agreed to cheer for Seattle. We figured, the one that has a high income will be proudly sending us Championship shirts. That would be my sister and not my brother. Even my brother told my lil' sister that her team should win so he too can get a championship shirt for free, LOL...

Thanks for the link, Rob. I'm wading my way through them now. I like Liam Neeson's commercial. I'm not a gamer, but I like Liam Neeson. :-) Oh, was that Pac Man? I couldn't figure out any it. Didn't know what he was doing in that maze. LOL Amy Purdy's Toyota commercial was inspiring--although I was not inspired to buy a Toyota. I'm not a NASCAR fan, but the commercial was fun. "Like a Girl" makes a good point. My dad taught me to throw a ball "like a boy" when I was a kid. Much later, a woman said, "He taught you to throw a ball properly." Mindy Kaling was funny. One of these days I'd like to see her show. Is it a network show? I got a kick out of the Katie Couric/Bryant Gumble ad for BMW. I used to watch them on The Today Show way back when. She mentioned in an interview recently that she drives an Audi. But her husband has a BMW. Any idea who's singing "I'm in the Mood for Love" on the Victoria's Secret commercial? Okay, I'll go watch some more now. ;-)

Do you have an overhead cab plan with measurements? It's impossible to say whether you have adequate aisles, whether you can go with a larger island, etc, without knowing what your clearances are. Do you really need that much refrigerator/freezer space? You wrote that you entertain often so perhaps you do, but they do dominate that wall. Really assess your needs and see if you can shrink them to give you more counter for your beverage center, which looks chopped up with the bar sink in the middle. Also, if you intend this to be used when you entertain, you may be better off with the fridge/freezer columns closest to the cook top wall and moving the bar sink and beverage center towards the (assuming, can't read the above image very well) family room. One last thought for now: I'd get rid of the walls at each end of the fridge run. You'd gain 9" more to use (assuming standard 4.5" thick walls) for counter and storage. And if you move the beverage center to the left end, it will no longer be hemmed in by a wall.
