Comments (6)Here's the recipe for the pie. And yes, I'm sure you can use pecans. It's very much like a pecan pie. I found that the center was not completely "solid" at the end of baking time, but it firms up after cooling. Deanna Honey-Walnut Pie Ingredients: pastry for 9" one-crust pie, (see 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup corn syrup 1/2 cup honey 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups walnut pieces Directions: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare pastry. Beat remaining ingredients except walnuts with hand beater in medium bowl. Stir in walnuts. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate. Cover edge with 2" strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning; remove foil last 15 minutes of baking. Bake 45-55 minutes or until set. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until chilled. Makes me happy to see the love and support this board offers. Lpink, can't go wrong with blueberry muffins! And the shredded beef recipe is great. I use it with beef and pork with great results. Di, here are the recipes. Hope you enjoy them! Slow Cooker Shredded Beef Tacos Serve this delicious taco meat with soft tortillas or hard taco shells and pass all the fixings. 1 1/2 pounds boneless beef chuck, cut into 3/4-inch cubes 3/4 cup bottled chunky medium-hot salsa 2 tablespoons chopped garlic 1 tablespoon (packed) dark brown sugar 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional) 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional) Combine the salsa, brown sugar and soy sauce and pour over the meat in the slow cooker insert. Cover and cook for 8 hours on LOW or 5 to 6 hours on HIGH, or until the meat is fork-tender. I usually pour off some of the liquid. Shred the meat with two forks and stir in cilantro and lime juice if using. Chocolate Snickerdoodles~Roselin CF 1c butter 1 1 /2c sugar 2 eggs 2 1/4c flour 1/2c cocoa 2 tsp cream of tartar 1 tsp baking soda 1/2tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 2T sugar 2 tsp cinnamon Combine butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs. Cream well. Sift all dry ingredients except 2T sugar and cinnamon. Add to egg mixture and chill dough for at least one hour. Roll dough into balls about the size of a walnut.
