Help with COREtec LVP flooring options
Comments (23)I really love the way it looks! I am waiting on Aurora oak for the 1st floor of my lake house where the bedrooms are. Mine was backordered for a few weeks and is not going in until the end of Feb. I didn't notice the mismatch of texture and print and i don't see it in your photos. i had to go with the slightly thinner product rather than the wildly popular Calypso or Cairo oak as it it being installed over burgundy tile. Can't wait for my floors and your is the !st I'm seeing of the Aurora Oak that is not a company pic. To me it is the perfect light color, not too warm, not too washed out and not too grey. I hope the mismatch is not noticeable!...See MoreNeeding help choosing Coretec flooring color.
Comments (9)At one point, I was considering CoreTec, as well. I had a local mom-and-pop flooring shop come out to my house, measure every room, and discuss what I wanted out of my floors. The sales rep (the son of the owners) flat out told me that, given my situation, he would NOT recommend LVP. He said that dark LVP (I gotta have dark floors, lol; I just love them) + lots of sunshine (my main living areas all face south, with considerable eastern light as well) + tons of kids + 160 pound dog = very unhappy Me. He assured me that I would see every single scratch, every single day, and that it would bug me to high Heaven. He's right. He recommended wood look tile for my slab-on-grade house. I expressed skepticism, remarking that, "I'm not sure you'll be able to get the grout lines small enough for me, without voiding the warranty on the tile...." And he proceeded to show me photos on his phone of itty bitty grout lines on a wood look tile. Not that I'm necessarily saying you should go with tile, but know the non-cleaning downsides to dark LVP. :-)...See MoreCoretec Flooring Dilemma
Comments (3)I have Hayes Oak. When we installed it, our next door neighbor loved it and wanted it in her house. We gave her a sample and she said it looked terrible in her home. Basically because her walls are painted a gray/ blue and it somehow clashed. So, yes lighting but also paint makes a difference. I like Calypso out of those three and I think people here have used it more than the other choices. Which to be honest I haven’t seen posts about....See MoreWhat wall and trim paint color goes best w/ Calypso Oak Coretec floors
Comments (4)I have just had my walls painted. Now going to do the flooring. So glad I waited to do the flooring. The painting and new blinds make the rooms look so much brighter. Previously considered the Calypso oak before the painting and was hesitant. Does it have a warmer golden or honey cast to it. Pictures don't seem to be accurate. I need a lighter color don't want anything that is dark and going to show the dust etc. Some of the lighter colors looked washed out. Don't want a golden color either but would prefer it be a warmer look. Do you like the Calypso oak and is it easy to clean....See MoreLeasa Brown
