What wall and trim paint color goes best w/ Calypso Oak Coretec floors

We're pretty set on calypso oak flooring from coretec. Our remodel includes entire new flooring, new kitchen and new paint (also will have all new furniture). We'd like to use the same paint color in entire main level. We're leaning towards chantilly lace and hale navy paint for kitchen cupboards. The plan is to paint first and I lean towards cooler neutrals/greys. Calypso seems to have some warmness to it, but from swatches it seems to do ok with true grays. Those with calypso--what paint color is your favorite?

We went with Bejamin Moore Simply white for walls, trim and ceiling (different sheens) with our calypso oak floors.

That thundercloud is an awesome color. Try that. Before you start changing things, please get a cohesive plan. What do you want the end product to be? Putting new countertops on old cabinets can look like putting lipstick on a pig. Best to know what the end result will be, then you can make informed decisions. And not come back here with a HELP me correct my errors!!! I don't think your flooring will support a white quartz. I think it may have too much beige in it.

We have calypso oak installed in our house and we love it. We have lived here (a renovation) for 3 weeks now, and really like the way it looks. It's really easy to clean, it looks beautiful, and feels great. We were hesitant to install this type of floor because we had read reviews from many about a tendency for this LVP product to have a sandy or cracking noise when stepped on. We do not have that problem, and we have read that this is an installation issue (dependent upon the cleanliness of the sub floor or the type of subfloor installed below it?). Regardless, we do not have this issue and we are so lucky to have listened to the store we were buying it from (who had never heard of this issue with this product). If you like the way it looks, I recommend installing this product.

Thanks so much for the photos, the basement looks amazing! I would not have thought there was that much variation in the Ivory Coast by looking at our sample. Does it still feel like a unified look when you are in the space, not “blotchy”? I will say for a light color it sure looks real. So many of the lighter colors look plasticty, if that’s a word!

You have a couple of choices. One is to have the house white on white. This is often achieved by using the same color on walls as the trim and cabinets, but using different sheens. It guarantees that you have one undertone throughout. The other is to have a neutral color with the white trim. With either choice you can do more color in bedrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms . . . Look at C2 Filament or Archival to go with your flooring.

I have just had my walls painted. Now going to do the flooring. So glad I waited to do the flooring. The painting and new blinds make the rooms look so much brighter. Previously considered the Calypso oak before the painting and was hesitant. Does it have a warmer golden or honey cast to it. Pictures don't seem to be accurate. I need a lighter color don't want anything that is dark and going to show the dust etc. Some of the lighter colors looked washed out. Don't want a golden color either but would prefer it be a warmer look. Do you like the Calypso oak and is it easy to clean.

I absolutely love the look and durability of my calypso oak. I get so many compliments and people can’t believe its not real wood upon first glance. That being said it shows alot. I find myself washing floors sometimes a few times per day. I have a big dog and when he goes out and the yard is even slightly damp there are foot prints through my house.

It is gorgeous though and it may be worth it!

i used Benjamin Moore Owl Gray paint on the walls and Simply White for my trim.
