I've always found blues to be cold & chilly, and grays depressing. But many people enjoy those wall colors, so I would say it all depends on your personal reaction. Did you see the thread on corals? Perhaps there's a shade of coral that feels warm & cheery in winter without being too warm or stifling in summer. First off, I can see you have so many colors right next to each other for swatching, and when I see a client do that I know I have lost them. Can you cover those colors, and regroup? There are too many colors... and now you are most likely unable to see any of them, even if you had a winner! A few color options to consider is Light Pewter, White Dove or Grey Owl (all Benjamin Moore) are all colors I have used in combo with Revere Pewter very successfully, and both options could work well in this space. Keep in mind when it is covering a larger space it doesn't look as dark as when it is in just one spot... and it will dry a different color. Another trick that designers sometimes do is purchasing a pearl or semi gloss finish which tends to read brighter since it allows the light to reflect off of the surface. You mentioned Sherwin Williams, but you are referencing Benjamin Moore color names. Benjamin Moore is the only one that does a pearl finish, so that is important. Let us know how you make out! ♥

Did you decide? I'm surprised you find the colour so bad... I actually really like it. It looks very seaside cottage / beachy and it works with the counter tops and back splash I think, which look like sand. If I were you, I'd paint the fireplace bricks the same colour as your trim, and extend the blue into the livingroom. I think it will look great. Good luck!

CG, I agree with Sage's 'light on a timer' idea. I have only one window in my apartment, but using a combination of fluorescent and LED lights and the window, I have an entire wall devoted to cacti, succulents, orchids and African Violets, all doing well, some too far away from the window to derive any benefit (the cacti and succulents got the window). It sounds like your beverage stand is absolutely beautiful for plants, what a great find! (But don't plant directly into copper). Because we have a dingy dead-end hallway that could use some livening up too. Light colored paint, lights-on-a-timer, and some colorfully foliaged plants mixed with the other plants would make this hallway a show stopper in my opinion, especially since you seem to have a flare for repurposing items that serve to really show off the plants.
