Make ahead cucumber-cream cheese-dill "tea" sandwiches?

I'm bringing a couple of food items to a small gathering tomorrow and am wondering if I can make these ahead of time: cucumber-cream cheese-fresh dill (crustless) finger (aka tea) sandwiches?

I've got the cukes sliced & in the fridge, "draining" on paper towels that I will change out every few hours. I'd like to get these little sandwiches all done later tonight, for tomorrow, since I'm going to be busy doing cinnamon rolls in the morning -- having the sandwiches already made would be one less thing to do. They'd be kept in an airtight container with a very slightly tiny bit damp paper towel over them, so the bread doesn't dry out. Is it doable with good results?? Thanks!!!

Smiles,

Sooz
