Well, I enjoy wine. I was surprised when I tried a chocolate wine. It was not awful at all. Almost a light, chocolate liqueur taste.

I also like Miller Light beer, so there’s that.

I love Sexual Chocolate wine. Not truly a chocolate wine just a very subtle hint. Very hard to find though.

glenda, you're suggesting (and have before) that it's not nice if someone expresses an opinion or preference that differs from your own. I'm sorry you feel that way. Conversation would be pointless and It would be a boring world if everyone had that view.

Well, I drink a lot of different wines and still like the chocolate wine.

The subject was about finding a bargain, in reference to nicole's thread and wanted her to see.

I love a good red wine - emphasis on "good" ! And it does enhance the flavor of chocolate. But it would not be my cup of tea to combine the two flavors together in a bottle. I feel about that much the same way as I do about flavored creamers in a cup of coffee - a great way to ruin a perfectly good cup of coffee :-)

I've never heard of it either. Too bad I don't drink red wine so I guess I will have to continue drinking white wine and just eating my chocolate. Tough world I live in. Sighhh.

mary, this isn't something I've heard of but I looked it up. I don't like the taste of horchata so I don't think I'd like it.

But, doesn't it make sense that mixing flavors with spirits is something very different than mixing with wine? That's what a cocktail is, different flavors mixed with spirits. Kahlua, or Baileys, or any one of a number of combos of flavors with spirits, all good. Even different chocolate liqueurs might be of interest. Fruit cake or cookies with rum, etc.

Just not with wine. It's not really a mixable thing to my taste.

Not much of a wine drinker, but several years ago, a friend of mine who's a real beer connoisseur brought over a beer called "Sweet Baby Jesus". It was a dessert beer and had background flavors of chocolate and peanut butter. Fabulous!!

Reminds me of when we were kids and my brother didn't want to try something, my mom would list the ingredients and remind him that he liked them. He'd always counter with, "I like hamburgers and I like hot fudge, but not together."

This wine literally sounds like that. Perhaps it pairs well with hamburgers?

Good for sipping for casual conversations. I have two new neighbors, and will invite them over and share my bottle during the holidays.

Well, I like wine ( I don't love it but I do like it) and I LOVE chocolate. I don't think I have ever seen this. I wonder if it's available regionally? Now I am off to google and see if it's available in our area.

Editing to say, I googled it and it does not appear to be available in Penn or Delaware. Had I known....... I might have looked for it on our drive to Quebec last week. Oh well. This is specifically the brand Chocolate Shop; there are other brands available but I will try to hold out for the winner.

LOVE a good chocolate wine... and I do not consider myself a fan of most wines - only like sweet ones. I prefer a mixed froo-froo drink as my husband would call them.

A local winery makes the best apple pie wine - it literally tastes like a liquid apple pie. Even has a cinnamon stick in the bottle. I bought a bottle on sale a few weeks ago and went back to the same store today and was dismayed to find it no longer on sale. But I bought a bottle anyhow. Nothing like getting a bargain to add to the enjoyment of finding what you want, so I'm jealous Glenda!
