Hello all! A little update. Money has been tight, but I was able to save up for a coffee table. I was afraid it would be too big, but I think it looks nice. It has some storage space on both sides and I love it's look. I am curious if I should put a vase with flowers or something with a little color to put on top. Also I think a rug is in store. I also sold the recliner and it's out of my life! The apt. has been repainted by the new Landlord and that ugly hole in the wall is gone and the color is much better! They didn't put the blinds back and I'm thinking of replacing them while they are down or go with curtains. I will be putting a small bar cabinet on the right side of the TV (where that drawer is) to get my "bar" fix without using the kitchen area for it. It will fit perfectly in that unused space. (I plan on getting rid of that small drawer container. I will probably get a small dining room table or just leave the keyboard there since I have a coffee table and I know I wouldn't use the dining table except when guests come over. I was given a rug by a friend, but I feel it's too small under the coffee table, so I put it under the keyboard. I got some candles for the windowsill and I think they bring a nice touch, especially when lit. I still plan on putting a curtain to seperate the bed from the room and put a small bookcase on the left side of the TV with a mirror on the wall above it. Any comments would be appreciated. I will continue to update as more additions are very slowly added to my apt.

Yes! If there is such a thing as a comfortable sleeper sofa, I really do want to know about it. My adult son could use one, but I can’t recommend. Another option for a day bed would be a trundle. I’ve had one and can highly recommend as your "sofa.” You can choose to have a trundle if you want the option for a guest. Or, at least in the past, you could choose drawer or shelves with baskets in place of the trundle. We started ours as a bed for our young son. Eventually, it was moved to a guest room that functioned like a den with desk and tv...so probably functioned like a studio. We had enough room to turn the lower trundle so it was perpendicular to the bed, and about half under, forming an “L.” Totally comfortable as seating and as beds. Had to let it go when I was downsizing...but would now like to have it back!!! I’ll be following to see what you do with this space. Fun!

I prefer the black Eames lounge chair as well. Just remember, along with the ottoman, it takes up quite a lot of floor space. I would add a credenza under the bike picture, as a resting spot for keys, etc., plus added storage. Perhaps an Eames Hang-it-All too? Looks like a great space!

Nice space for sure! I had to turn the plan around as needed to see it walking in. Here's a plan that would work for you. After reading you are an artist and need work space, you can eliminate the lounge chair in the corner near the column or the dining table altogether. I would spend all my money on a Clei Living Unit which incorporates storage, seating and a murphy bed in all different configurations. It's a brilliant system and you can build it around that nasty breaker box. Looks like you are in a big city, so you can go see it in a showroom. https://www.clei.it/en/catalogs  If you are handy, you probably can build the same concept. I love murphy beds as they just get hidden in a small space and you get the benefit of a regular mattress. Plus no one hangs out on your bed. The bed pulls down over the sofa.
