my handles are 5 3/4" if it's any help (the hole spread was 3 5/8")

I wanted the double handles for ease in opening these drawers. otherwise I would have had to use a very long one to span the middle.

I think the next size up was a 7" and I used those on my pantry cabinets.

it's a personal choice. grab a few samples of diff sizes and hold them up to the drawer to see what you like best.

You don't need two pulls on a kitchen drawer. Center ONE pull. . It's a much smoother motion, keeps the drawer in a stable position, conveniently a single hand "pull", versus two. Its nice when these are proportional to drawer width, make a list of what you have. Cluster "close" measurements together. Such as 12/15 21/24 ........33/36 etc. Select a pull that comes in multiple sizes.

I may not “need” 2 pulls, but this is my preference because I love the way it looks... so just was looking for feedback on what size drawers and I can use 2, and how big they should be if using 2. It’s just what I personally like:)

You might love the way it looks but functional it is not and if you insist then use painters tape and play around unyil you get the look you like This picture shows how I like to do pulls they are in proprtion to the caninet any place where the horizontals will hit someting they are placed in a vertical position . This is when function is the primary reason

I think Beth h gave you some great visuals and to play with painters tape first to see how it looks. Going by general drawer/door size may not bee the best as some fronts are very plain and some are ornate. Have fun and if you still can’t decide, have a kitchen designer visit your kitchen.

The only drawers in my kitchen that have two pulls are the 48" drawers under my range top. Edited to add that my husband is 6'5" and has large hands. I chose a handle with a higher projection to help protect the finish. It also makes it easy to put a single finger through when hands are dirty.

A cabinet maker told me NOT to use two pulls as one rarely uses two hands to open a drawer and only ends up using one pull. He said on a wide, heavy drawer, that pulls it all out of alignment and can cause big trouble. So in this case, function simply must trump the look you prefer. Frankly, I think all those handles looks busy anyway.

Okay " Bethie".........I like it for looks as well. : ) And it IS easier ! But much depends pull style as well. And drawer SIZE.

omg, my mother called me that. please, no. lol and yes it does depend on style, etc. don't be knockin' by double pulls!

Do it the way you want. There’s no right or wrong. Consider the hands that will be opening the drawers and cabinets. It’s not style and visual alone. As an example, I have arthritis so one long handle per drawer with a deep projection made sense for function. I’m also of low to average height and tore up more clothes with open ended handles in my last kitchen. Consider future updating as well, how many holes and where the holes are located can put a wrench in those plans. In my redo, selecting handles took a disproportionate amount of time. Have fun testing and selecting.
