Great projects you all have been making. I've been making little Hershey Nugget tents with a die cut mason jar on the front as handouts for a friend of mine to give to the nurses when she has her upcoming surgery in December. I don't have a way to take a picture to show you.

jtc, no, I tried glycerine and was unhappy with the results; I found that the leaves lost much of their color or turned black. I use the good old fashioned method of pressing them in between the pages of heavy books. They are left for two weeks until completely dry and I then preserve them in resin.

Resin is fiddly, fussy stuff, but if you want to preserve your leaves, I would press them first and then spray both sides with a glossy sealer such as Rustoleum clear gloss or the Mod Podge brand or something similar. Lay the leaves on wax paper, spray one side, let it dry overnight and then repeat with the other side. I'd probably spray on two or three coats

When completely dry, they could be displayed in a pretty vase/bowl or framed. I'm actually going to do a project like this soon for our bedroom. I bought a very large frame and plan to randomly place leaves on a piece of poster board, mat it and then place the entire thing in the frame.

My work may be more intricate, but I always admire those who know their way around tools and who can successfully complete such big projects. There is real craftsmanship in that and you and nicole both have it.
