Design Dilemma Lighting Kitchens

Looking for lighting ideas for kitchen island and table. Pictures below are of the existing kitchen and a picture I’d the cabinets that I ordered but are not installed yet. The only change is that I’m going with all white quartz countertops and perimeter counters . The quartz has gray veining. I should also mention that skylights are being added to the area between the island and sink. Should I get island pendants and a coordinating light for above the table or go with recessed lighting above island and table chandler. If pendants and chandelier, suggestions for coordination would be greatly appreciated!

The lighting you have in the kitchen now over the island can stay they will work. You have a slopped vaulted ceiling so first talk to an electrician before getting your hopes up with recessed in the kitchen. but if you can I would add them to both areas and still have both the pendants and dining light. Layers of lighting are important.

If the first picture is of the pendant you like, I would say it's on the boring side. I think you could find something better and are missing an opportunity to make the kitchen really look special. If you are going to do something that plain, then you really need to step it up for the dining room chandelier and get something that is much more visually interesting. My advice would be to start with picking a metal(s) so that you understand what you're trying to coordinate, and then go from there.

The size seems fine but we'd need a width of the island to be 100%. Over the kitchen nook, I'd use something different but has the same feel. The size coordinates, not to the other pendants, but to the table. A 6 ft table would look odd with a 15 inch pendant nor should a chandelier be larger/wider than the table.

Pendant #2 in the first lineup is fantastic! The white cone and very clean simple brass hardware is as good as it gets for modern/minimal. Love the sputnik fixture too, but have you looked at a similar fixture in person? I've found I can't handle the glare of clear-glass fixtures. Obviously some people can, but make sure you've tested that before you order the fixture. There are very similar chandeliers with frosted shades, if you find the clear glass to glaring.

I never like one center light in a kitchen so IMO tha should be at least a track light if you do not wnat to go to the expense of having pot lights so look for a track with small black heads and make sure the bulbs are LED 4000K and make sure that same style head can be one light over the sink. I think DR light can be stand alone since they are the star in the DR I do however raslly dislike DR lights that light the ceiling
